Music and trailer launch of ‘Accused’ starring Udaya, Ajmal and Yogi Babu

The music and trailer launch of ‘Accused’, produced by A.L. Udaya, Daya N. Panneerselvam and M. Thangavel under the banners of Sreedayakaran Cine Production and MIY Studios in association with Jashan Studios Sachin Cinemas, was held in Chennai.

Udaya, Ajmal and Yogi Babu have acted together for the first time in the film ‘Accused’, which has been shot on a huge budget. The film has been directed by Prabhu Srinivas, who has directed successful films in the Kannada film industry. Popular Kannada actress Janhvika has played the female lead.

The film has music by Naren Balakumar, cinematography by Marudhanayakam.I, editing by K.L. Praveen, art direction by Anand Mani, and stunts by Stunt Silva. The film industry leaders and crew attended the audio launch of ‘Acoust’ held in Chennai.

Producer Daya N. Panneerselvam said, “I welcome the film industry leaders, media friends, and crew who have come to participate in the audio and trailer launch of the film Acoust. Udaya is the main reason for the successful completion of this film and today’s event. The film has been made very well. Thank you all for your support.”

Producer and director Keyar said, “Udaya’s father A.L. Alagappan and I are long-time friends. So I have known Udaya since childhood. He has been struggling in the film industry for a long time. I have seen the scenes of ‘Acoust’ and Udaya’s talent is shining. The songs have also come out well. This film will be a turning point in Udaya’s film journey. Congratulations to the makers,” he said.

Pawan, Prabhakar, Oh Maria fame Dani, Subhadra and Deepa Bhaskar, who are acting in the film ‘Accused’, expressed their happiness for their role in the film and said that ‘Acused’ has been made very well with everyone’s cooperation. They said that the entire film crew got along like a family.

Speaking on the occasion, Prabhu Srinivas, the director of ‘Accused’, said, “The biggest legends of the film industry are here, thank you very much to everyone. Shortly after I gave the script of this film to Udaya, he read it in its entirety and said OK, and he put some of his other films on hold for this. Thank you to him for that. All the producers gave excellent cooperation.

From the first day of the film’s start to the completion of the shoot, Udaya’s cooperation was invaluable. With the cooperation of him and the entire team, we shot continuously without a break. The bus fight scene in the film is very much talked about. The entire film will captivate the audience, thank you,” he said. Following him, cinematographer Marudhanayakam.I and art director Anand Mani thanked everyone for saying that the film turned out well.

Music composer Naren Balakumar said, “Thank you very much to all the music and technical team who worked with my team. Everyone who is here has appreciated the song. Speaking on a video call, actor Yogi Babu said, “I could not attend this event as I was shooting at night at another location. It was a great experience for me to work on this film. Lyricist Padmaja Sriram said, “Music composer Naren Balakumar will give a lot of freedom. Working on this film was a very good experience. Thank you and best wishes to all the crew, thank God,” he said.

Lyricist Karthi said, “Hello everyone. Naren Balakumar and I have been working together for a long time. I have written the song Sudachuda Biryani in the film, and I am grateful for the reception it has received. I have also danced for this song. Just by watching the trailer, it seems that ‘Accused’ will be a big hit. Journalists should support it,” he said.

Next, Producers’ Council Executive Committee Member Alagan Tamilmani, Senthamarai Kannan, Jayaseelan, G.S. Murali, Ramachandran, Anbu, Suresh, Salai Sahathevan, and Small Screen Directors’ Association President Mangai Arirajan congratulated the film crew.
