‘Chimera’ is the third film directed by Manik Jai, who directed the films Paramu and Celebish. He played the lead role in the film ‘Vachukvaa’ and turned director with the film ‘Paramu’. He has subsequently directed and acted in the film Celebish, which is being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. In this context, Manik Jai has now completed directing the film Chimera.
The film stars LNT Etish as the debutant hero. Tharai Krishnan, Ranjith Kumar and director Manik Jai play different roles and the heroines of the story are Soumya, Krishna Nandu and Gyaneshwari.
The film is based on the idea that if animal cells are injected into a human body, what will be the impact if the human nature changes to animal nature. ‘Chimera’, which is being made as a pan-India film, will soon be released in five languages – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
The audio launch of the film, which has music composed by Vignesh Raja, was held yesterday evening at the Saligramam Prasad label in Chennai.
The film crew was accompanied by special guests including Directors Association President R.V. Udayakumar, Directors Association General Secretary Perarasu, Director Meera Kathiravan and actress Komal Sharma.
Speaking at the event,
Producer and director Manik Jai said,
“LNT Ethish, who is acting in this, acted with me in the film Celebrity. The reason for the creation of this film is VFX Rohit. When he said that the film Celebrity would be a little late in editing, this is the story that was created at that time. Ethish said that I will act at that time. I said that it is a character that is the opposite of your real character. He has acted better than I thought. Both Soumya Krishna Nandu and Ranjith have competed. Ranjith has been traveling with me since the first film. He has also given an excellent performance in this film without any rehearsal. This film was shot directly in Tamil and Telugu Hindi languages. Only a few actors have acted in it from Bangalore,” he said. Five songs in the film, one by Mohan Rajan and the other four by Kavidarko.
Music composer Vignesh Raja spoke,
“There are five songs in this film. The film is being developed as a science thriller. All the scenes shot for the film were scary and challenging to work on,” he said.

“I had acted in Manik Jai’s film Paramu. When I asked if there was a chance in this film, he said that I would give it to him in the next film, but it is a bit difficult character.
