JioHotstar releases web series ‘Good Wife’…Highlights from its press meet!
The web series ‘Good Wife’ is being released today as a special JioHotstar. This series is the Tamil version of the internationally acclaimed series ‘Good Wife’. Starring National Award-winning actress Priyamani and talented actor Sampath Raj, the series is directed by actress-director Revathy. Revathy is making her debut as a director in Tamil OTT. Its press meet was held.
Editor Kishan said, “We brought what the people wanted in a good way. Working with Revathy ma’am was a new experience. I am sure you will like it too”.
Cinematographer and assistant director Siddharth Ramasamy said, “This film is very special to me. Revathy ma’am is my first female director. Very cool! Congratulations to all the cast and crew.”
Actress Megha Rajan said, “I have grown up watching many of Revathi ma’am’s films. There are no films like the ones she has acted in now. Working with her was a happy and proud experience for me. Actor Ari said, “Acting in a web series is not easy. You have to tie the audience up in this too. There is ten times more work involved than making a film. The film is based on a court drama and will definitely be new to the Tamil audience. This story will speak of justice for all family women. My brother is the inspiration for this lawyer character. I have seen all of Revathi ma’am’s films when I was young. ‘Mouna Ragam’ is my favorite film. I am happy to be acting in the direction of the heroine of that film. Whatever we have been thinking about for ‘Good Wife’ so far, it will definitely change after this web series.”

Actress-director Revathi, “Although I have directed films before, I hesitated when the opportunity arose for a web series. Because a film can be completed in two hours, from start to finish. But, a web series is not like that. I also thought about it because I am not a writer. This story is something that can be taken to our Tamil Nadu and added to the Tamil audience. Halitha wrote the story very wonderfully. I have made only a few changes in it and directed this story entirely as a director. Watch it and tell me.”
