The world’s largest democratic nation is our India. We are proud to be Indians. Our ancestors sacrificed their lives and property to buy our freedom… The purpose of our independence is to have a democracy that governs us. The philosophy of that democracy is the right to choose those who govern us. That right belongs to each and every one of us. That “right to vote” is the lifeblood of democracy. If that right is denied to any individual, it will push our nation into the abyss of dictatorship. It is the moral duty of every individual to prevent that situation from occurring and to protect our democracy. That is our debt of gratitude and respect to the martyrs of our freedom struggle who fought and sacrificed their lives for our country.

Therefore, celebrating Independence Day should not be just about hoisting flags and getting carried away,

but on this day, we should resolve to strengthen the Constitution of our country, the democratic principles it provides, its values, and that sovereignty.

Hindustan Hamara.
India is our country.
