“I trained for 3 months to play a gorilla”- Actor Tarun Vijay shares interesting facts about ‘Kuttram Pudhithu’!
The film ‘Kuttram Pudhithu’ is being produced by GKR Cine Arts. Written and directed by Noah Armstrong, Tarun Vijay is making his debut as the hero in this film. Seshvita Kanimozhi is playing the female lead. Along with them, Madhu Soodhana Rao, Nizhalgal Ravi, Ramachandran Durai, Boys Rajan, Priyadarshini Rajkumar and many others have acted. Director Noah Armstrong said about the film, “I received information that the producer of GKR Cine Arts was asking for stories to cast his son as a hero. I met him in person and told him the story of the film ‘Kuttram Pudhithu’. When he liked the story, he wholeheartedly agreed to produce the film. Tarun Vijay has undergone full training for cinema, including acting, training, fighting and dancing. Sesvitha Kanimozhi has played the heroine well. A young man who delivers food suddenly gets hit on the head and suffers a strange injury. After that, his actions change. He is accused of murder. Did the hero commit that murder? This story is made up of various twists and turns, asking whether there is an animal inside him. There are scenes in which Tarun Vijay acts as if he has the characteristics of a gorilla. He acts with great difficulty and endures pain, as if he is walking on his hands and feet like a gorilla monkey. The technical team has also worked well.”
Hero Tarun Vijay said, “In my family, my father, mother and sister are all doctors. They wanted me to study to be a doctor. But at one point, I became interested in acting, so I told my family that I wanted to become an actor. At first, they were hesitant. Then, understanding my ambition and desire, they allowed me to act. After that, I studied the basic training required for acting properly. It was while I was waiting for a good story that director Noah told me the story of ‘Kuttram Puthidhu’. I agreed because it had a lot of opportunities for acting and showcasing my talent. Since I had already received acting training, I did not face any difficulty during the shooting. I acted exactly as the director told me. When I had doubts, he would act. I would internalize that and act. I trained for three months to walk on my hands and feet like a gorilla. When I walked with my fingers folded, my hands on the ground and waving my hands in front of me, my shoulder swelled. I took that difficulty seriously. I didn’t. I gave 100% performance to the scene to make it come out well despite the pain. My real name is Tarun. I added the name Vijay myself. I am adding it because that name gives me strength,” he said.
Actress Seshvita Kanimozhi said, “It was a surprise when I was invited to play the heroine in the film ‘Kuttram Puthidhu’. The reason is, nowadays, if you want to play the heroine, you have to post on Instagram and have a lot of followers on it. But I am not on Instagram. However, the director called me and asked me to act in a scene. I acted in it. He liked it and signed me as the heroine. The film ‘Kuttram Puthidhu’ has done very well. It will be a different film. There is no doubt that this film will appeal to all sections of the society.”
