The grand opening of the film “Vadam” began today with a grand puja at the Masani Amman Temple in Coimbatore, where the film crew provided food to 1500 people and performed annadanam.
The story of the film is based on the background of the heroic sport of Vada Manju, which is one of the important aspects of Tamil Nadu culture and tradition. Many films have been made based on the sport of Jallikattu in Tamil cinema so far. But for the first time, the film Vadam is being made based on the sport of Manju Virattu. It is also being made as a commercial action film with a storyline that tells the story of love, friendship and family.
Vadam is being made as the next film of actor Vimal, who has a separate fan base for himself by playing different characters in different storylines in the Tamil film industry. Masani Pictures, which has established itself in the Tamil film industry, is producing the film as their first production.
Sangeetha is playing the lead role opposite actor Vimal in this film. Balasaravanan, Naren and Ramadoss also play important roles.
Director V. Kendran is writing the story, screenplay and directing. Music composer D. Imman is composing the music, Prasanna S Kumar is handling the cinematography and Sabu Joseph is editing the film. V. Sasikumar is working as the art director for this film.
Murugan will provide the stunt training and K.R. Balamurugan will be supervising the production. This film is jointly produced by Masani Pictures and Sun Maro.
