Crime thriller film ‘The Dark Heaven’ based on a folk tale

Why did the protagonist change Nakula? -‘ The Dark Heaven: Director Balaji’s reply!

It has become a habit in Hollywood to make films based on myths, legends, old traditional stories, etc. that are spread among the people. Now this has started in India and is continuing. When the beliefs of the people are made into a screen, the work takes on a different appearance from the usual commercial efforts. The success of films like Gandhara and Kalki that have been released in this way is a testament to the support of the people.

Therefore, the film industry is continuously involved in this effort. Thus, a film named ‘The Dark Heaven’ is being made based on a Tamil Nadu folk tale.

The film is being directed by Balaji, who directed the film ‘D3’.

Talking about the film, Director Balaji said,

“I directed and produced my first film ‘D3’ myself. I am also directing and producing the second film, ‘The Dark Heaven’.

Some people may ask that it has an English title like the first film. I have kept it because it seems appropriate. Otherwise, there is no intention to keep it in English. This is being developed as a crime thriller. I have given this title to suit that. I am making it based on a folk story.

It is a story about the police.

This film is about a policeman who investigates a series of murders in a village. Some men in that village die mysteriously at regular intervals, i.e. once in seven years. The story goes on about how the protagonist from the police uncovers the secrets behind these deaths.

When it comes to police, it is also a crime thriller, so the story is interesting and makes the audience think about what will happen next. It can maintain the excitement that keeps the attention under control. It can also give space for action scenes. That style is very helpful for a commercial film. I personally like these types of films that make you wonder what will happen next. So I am directing this as such a film. I am producing this film on behalf of Kothai Entertainment.

Since the film takes place entirely in the mountains, we have to walk three to four kilometers without even the minimum facilities. .We have shot in an old church in Ernakulam. There is a mountainous area called Melkarai. No car can go there. We have to walk about 3 km. We shot there with difficulty. All the shooting locations were challenging.

Nakul was chosen as the hero in this film and the shooting took place for a few days. But due to unavoidable reasons, we could not continue.

I am a person who can work for sixteen hours. He could not come to my pace. It would not be very correct for the hero to say a cut in a shoot. But he said. Such various There were inconveniences. Being a producer myself, at one point I felt insecure. So I changed the hero for the film which was 60% complete. It may have been a blind decision. My budget scared me. But I had no other choice. I was forced to change. Only after that, Siddhu, who played the role of ‘Raja Rani 2’, has been made the hero and the shooting is going on. For me, what I think about changing the hero is how the character of the young lady should come.
I only see how whoever plays it fits in.
I only see how much justice whoever plays it does to that role.

So I don’t have any setbacks because I changed the hero.
Bigg Boss Darshika is playing the heroine. Velaramamoorthy, Rithika, Arul Jyothi, Pradeep, Jayakumar Janakiraman,
Ajith Koshy etc. They are acting. Chaplin Balu, who has been acting in comedy roles so far, is playing a new role in this.

Speaking of technical artists, Manikandan PK, who worked in my first film, is working as a cinematographer in this too. Similarly, Raja Arumugam is editing. Shakthi Balaji, who worked in the film ‘Udanpal’, is working as a music composer.
There are only ten days left to shoot. We are working at a pace to release it in December,” he says.
