The story of the troubled South Tamil Nadu youth
“Bisson”
— Director Mari Selvaraj
Bisson, starring Dhruv Vikram and directed by Mari Selvaraj, is set to release on October 17.
Director Mari Selvaraj spoke about the making of this highly anticipated film.
“Bisson” is an important film in my career.
I have told a very heavy and complicated story.
This story gave me a maturity while trying to tell this story. I hope that something will happen through people watching this story.
It also contains the story of Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan, my story, and the stories of many troubled South Tamil Nadu youth.
Thanks to Dhruv Vikram, who entrusted himself to me for this film, Pa. Iranjith Annan, the actors who produced it, and all the actors and technicians.
This story cannot be easily made into a regular cinema shoot, it required a year of training and becoming a full-fledged kabaddi player, a village youth from South Tamil Nadu, and hard physical labor.
Dhruv could not do it within a few days of starting the film. He was very tired.
I asked him if I could do another story.
“No, it’s a custom, you are also crazy about doing this film, you know it’s a dream film, I will think of you like a father, I trust what you see”
He said those words shook me.
I watched him carefully so that nothing happened to him.
I put in maximum effort than in other films.
He believed that I would do everything well.
The entire family believed in me.
Not all actors can do this. Dhruv has trained for two years and dedicated himself completely to the shooting.
If you watch the film, you will see its originality.
All my well-wishers watched the film and said, “I have achieved what I thought I would achieve.”
Each one of them told me separately that Dhruv will be the great hope of Tamil cinema and that his cinema has begun. Dhruv and I are very happy to hear that..
I am waiting for the day when people say the same. said Mariselvaraj.
Bison is releasing worldwide on Oct – 17.
