Audio launch of ‘Christina Kathirvelan’ starring Kaushik Ram
The audio launch of ‘Christina Kathirvelan’, produced by Dr. R. Prabhakar Stapathy under the banner of Sri Lakshmi Dream Factory, directed by S.J.N. Alex Pandian and presented by Mr. Delta Creations, starring Kaushik Sri Ram and Pradeepa, was held in Chennai. Directors S.R. Prabhakaran, Vijay Sri, Michael K. Raja, ‘Bigg Boss’ celebrities Vishnu and Sibi were present as special guests at the event.
Directed by debutant director S.J.N. Alex Pandian, ‘Christina Kathirvelan’ features Kaushik Ram, Pradeepa, Singam Puli, Kanja Karuppu, Jayakumar, Arul D. Shankar, DSR, ‘Chilmisham’ Siva, Janani and many others have played the lead roles. The film, which has cinematography by Prahat Muniyasamy, has music by N. R. Raghunandan. The film, which is being prepared as a village love story, is being produced by Dr. R. Prabhakar Sthapathi on behalf of Sri Lakshmi Dream Factory. Karthik Veerappan has worked as a co-producer on behalf of Mr. Delta Creations.
Directors S. R. Prabhakaran, Vijay Sri, Michael K. Raja, who were special guests at the audio launch of the film, which will be released in theaters worldwide on November 7, received the film crew to release the music.
Speaking at the event, producer Dr. R. Prabhakar Sthapathi said, “The experience was new since the artists who worked on this film are new. They have created quality work. I request everyone to visit the theater and support them.”
Co-producer Karthik Veerappan said, “Recently, there have been few rural love stories in the Tamil film industry. We hope that Christina Kathirvelan will fill that gap. The story of this film will be like the normal events that happen in our homes. But it will be painfully realistic. Cinematographer Prahat Muniyasamy said, “I worked on a short film directed by director Alex Pandian six years ago. For that, I received Rs. 1500 as salary from him for the first time. At that time, he promised that if I directed the film, you would be the cinematographer. After that, after two years, we traveled with him and visited many locations. This work continued for three years. We discussed going there and shooting these scenes in these places. We worked happily during the shooting. The climax scene We were also emotional while making the film. We hope the film has turned out well. Music composer Raghunandan has done a wonderful job for this film,” he said.
Speaking, Director Michael K. Raja said, ”More than eighty percent of the directors have succeeded here by directing small films. As far as the song scenes and preview of the film are concerned, all the actors and actresses have acted naturally. The hero of the film, Kaushik Ram, is smart when seen in person. It was when he worked with me in the film ‘Powder’ that cinematographer Prahat Muniyasamy was introduced. He worked as a cinematographer for the film ‘Hara’ that I directed. When we were looking for a newcomer to play the hero for the film, Kaushik Ram, who had played a small role in the film ‘Hara’, was selected.
There will be many challenges while making the film. Director Alex faced them. A friend named Pandian helped him in this. He is the one who has put Alex on this stage. So I sincerely wish Alex and Pandian success,” he said.
‘Bigg Boss’ fame actor Sibi said, “When I see the songs and the preview of this film, I feel the same feeling I had when I watched the film ‘Kaadhal’ directed by director Balaji Sakthivel. I don’t know why, I feel a similar feeling when I watch that film.

Music composer Raghunandan said, ”All the films that come to me for music come only after the shooting is completed. They showed the film only after the shooting of Christina Kathirvelan was completed. There were many variations in the film. Starting in a village, traveling to college, and then another couple is introduced in the script. I had told the director that the background music for this would be delayed. The director said that he could create the song first. He had filmed a lot of montage scenes. We first created a love song with that. In that way, we created a song called ‘Sellatti..’. I composed only one tune for that song. The director listened to it and said okay. He expressed his desire that all the songs should be energetic. He said that there should be no war anywhere. Similarly, he said okay for all the songs to be in one tune. The background music for the film was a challenge for me. Like the film ‘Thenmerku Paruvakatru’, I worked on this one as well. Especially in the climax scene, the director’s imagination was amazing. You will feel this when you watch the film. The director accepted many of the suggestions I gave regarding the sound system of this film.
This film speaks a lot of things. It teaches good things to the younger generation. You will talk about it after watching the climax scene. There is a huge amount of compassion in this film. I praised the film ‘Ayoddhi’ on this very stage. The media should also support this.

The producer would give me money and not even ask me what was wrong. Similarly, whenever I went to him with a problem, co-producer Karthik Veerappan would also give me money and help me. However, it took me two years to make this film and bring it to this stage. Because that is the state of Tamil cinema today.

Cinematographer Prahat Muniyasamy When I saw him, he was only 15,16 years old. At that time, he had done cinematography for 40 short films. I took training in directing and screenwriting at a film training institute. My plan was to become a director later.
I showed twenty minutes of the film on my cell phone to my friend and co-producer Karthik Veerappan. After watching it, he got emotional and has been supporting the film till now. He organized the promotional event held in Madurai for this film very well. He also organized a grand promotional event at Nehru College. His hard work was not ordinary. For that, I express my gratitude to him at this moment.
After I finished writing the screenplay for this film, the name of the first technical artist I wrote for was N. R. Raghunandan. I saw the film ‘Neerparavai’. After seeing the background music of that film, I decided that he should compose the music for my first film. We can see his amazing talent in this film. Especially in the 25-minute climax, his background music will definitely be talked about. In that sense, this is not a small film. It is a big film. He has worked a lot for the sound system. He has also contributed to the business of this film.
My guru is Vijay Sri. Even though I trained at a film training institute, I got acquainted with him in the free time and worked with him as an assistant in the film Powder. I was with him during the release of both the films ‘Powder’ and ‘Hara’. So I came to know about the process of theatrical coordination for the release of the film. So this film is being released in a large number of good theatres in Tamil Nadu. It is also being released in 20 theatres in Kerala. Talks are underway to release the film in Karnataka as well. NR Raghunandan created the opportunities for this. No small film would have received such a reception. So this is not a small film but a big film. I request the media to support this.
