‘Dear Jeeva’ is a film produced by J Sahay Sathish and Syed Umar Mukhtar under The Comrade Films. Prakash V Bhaskar has directed this film.
Actor Vijay TV fame TSK, who has garnered attention for his recent hits like Lapper Bandhu and Palm, has played the lead role in this film.
Deepshika plays the female lead, with Manisha Sri, Kalakkapovadu Yaaru Yogi, Lollu Saba Uday, Priyadarshini Rajkumar and others playing important roles.
Rashashanth Arvin, grandson of famous music composer Shankar Ganesh and who composed music for Mohan’s film ‘Hara’, has composed the music, while Arvind Selvaraj and Sanjeev Khanna have handled the cinematography, and Raja Arumugam has handled the editing.
The film is being broadcast live on the Tent Kottai OTT platform.
Director Prakash V. Bhaskar has worked as an assistant director with Arunraja Kamaraj from the film Kana to the label web series.
He has also directed the web series ‘My Extraordinary Love Story’. He has also written more than 100 independent songs and directed four short films.
Not only that, he has won 14 international film awards for his works.

Talking about the making of ‘Dear Jeeva’ and the direct ODD release of the film, director Prakash V. Bhaskar said,
“This film is an emotional love story. It has been made as a romantic film that everyone can watch sitting with the family. We wanted to release this film in theaters. But since we have invested a small amount in it, we have directly released this film on the Tent Kotakai ODD platform as a Diwali release.
The hero of the film, DSK, and I are friends of 15 years. DSK had played the hero in all the short films that I have directed. This story needed DSK for a character like the boy next door.
Since he had already acted in my short films and I know him personally well, I believed that he would fit perfectly into this story.
He is a mimicry artist, a good dancer.. Beyond all this, I knew that he is a person who perfectly reflects human emotions. I have been watching. So this is a story made especially for him so that he can do this story well.
We completed the shooting of this film in just 15 days. The entire shooting took place in Trichy..
Deepshika, who plays the heroine of the film, is basically a doctor. This is her first film.
When I worked with Arunraja Kamaraj in big films like Kana, I was able to learn a lot from the artists who worked in that film. That experience helped me a lot in this film. So I was able to complete the shooting of this film quickly as planned.
I first worked as an assistant director for the director of the film Diesel starring Harish Kalyan, Shanmugam Muthusamy.. Now I am happy that his film and mine are releasing at the same time.
Even though I am sad as a director that the film ‘Dear Jeeva’ is not releasing in theaters, I and the film crew are happy that it is releasing directly on the OTT platform for Diwali.” He said..
