Lingusamy, who was a journalist and turned creative, directed Malayalam superstar Mammootty in his first film (Anandham). He elevated Chocolate Boy Madhavan to an action hero in his second film (Run), made Ajith a household name in his third film (G), and introduced a vibrant young man named Vishal to cinema in his fourth film (Sandakozhi).
