The election for selecting the office bearers and executive committee members of the Tamil Film Producers Association for the period 2026 to 2029 is scheduled to be held on February 22, 2026. In this election, in the Nalam Kakkum Ani led by Mr. G.M. Tamizhkumaran, Mr. R.K. Suresh and Mr. S. Kamalakannan are contesting for the Vice-Presidents’ posts, Mr. R. Radhakrishnan and Ms. Kameela Nasser for the Secretaries’ posts, Mr. N. Subhash Chandra Bose for the Treasurer’s post, and Ms. Sujatha Vijayakumar for the Joint Secretary’s post.
Along with senior producers Mr. Azhagan Tamilmani, Mr. Chitra Lakshmanan, Mr. H. Murali, Mr. M. Ghaffar, and Mr. R. Madhesh, Mr. Saalai Sahadevan, Ms. Baija Tom, Mr. S. Jothi, Mr. V. Palanivel, Mr. K. Senthamarai Kannan, Nilgiris Mr. A. Murugan, Mr. G.M. Davidraj, T.N. Thaisaravanan, Mr. K. Murugan, Mr. V. Gnanavel, Mr. Pravinkanth, Mr. V.N. Ranjith Kumar, Mr. S. Jayaseelan, Mr. Raja @ Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, Mr. M. Dhanashanmugamani, Mr. P.G. Balaji, Mr. Isakkiraja, Mr. P. Mahendran, Mr. S. Prabthees Shams, Mr. A. Ezhumalai, and Mr. S.N. Rajarajan are contesting for the Executive Committee Member posts.
The candidates’ introduction meeting of the Producers’ Welfare Team was held on December 22, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM at Hotel Radha Park Inn. The special guests at this meeting included Mr. Kalaipuli S. Thanu, FEFSI President Mr. R.K. Selvamani, Professor Mr. A.S. Prakasam, Mr. V.C. Guganathan, music composer Mr. Deena, director Mr. Lingusamy, and director Mr. Saran. Mr. Kalaipuli S. Thanu introduced the candidates. The special guests addressed the gathering and extended their wishes to the candidates. Mr. G.M. Tamilkumaran and Mr. R. Radhakrishnan spoke about the benefits that the association members would receive if their team wins and forms the administration. The large turnout of members at the meeting was noteworthy.
