Mercy killing is an act which has not been approved as an act of mercy till date and that forms the crux of the plot of this well crafted/executed flick that takes a look at the aspect of having pre-marital sex in the contemporary scenario while some seem to look forward for it while some others despise it despite their love with a ‘candidate’ of their choice!
With virtually a new cast most of whom fill the bill adequately the maker has asserted his understanding over the medium though a few sequences, especially in the former half, could have been crafted better.
Further, the composer (Nanda), editor(Vinoth Sivakumar) and art director (Martin) are all debutantes but show no sign of it showcasing their respective crafts in a commendable manner!
The lead pair Aakash and Janaki come up with gripping performances.
The protagonist’s family members too pose a realistic picture of a well meaning middleclass family.
The climax is unexpected but raises beyond expectations…
