Kishore who is known for depicting daringly different and difficult characters has portrayed the role of a family man, Rajan who is employed as a P.T. Master at a School where his wife Vidya (Subatra Robert) works as a Math teacher. Both are very affectionate towards their son Deepak (Jaswant Manikandan) and daughter Yazhini (Dhananya Varshini).
Rajan is a freelance singer who takes part in several reality shows.
At one point, problems crop up for Rajan who loses in a Musical Round and at the same time, he is asked by the new Principal to go on long leave as he keeps applying for leave very frequently to attend Singing Shows.
How the family regains their happiness is the rest. The film is narrated in flashback and the portions involving Harish Uthaman as a loan shark don’t exactly fit into the otherwise neat proceedings.
The film is meant to be a homage to parents with their children (son and daughter, here) striving their best to fulfill the wishes of their parents.
The proceedings are a bit slow paced but that hasn’t affected the objectivity of the filmmaker whose purpose seems to reel out a family film that showcases affections and emotions.
For such a musical movie, the songs could have been better.
