The film is shot by cinematographer Pablu Aju and the music is composed by Vishnu Vijay. This feel-good family entertainer, packed with entertainment elements, is produced by Kannan Ravi and co-produced by Deepak Ravi under the Kannan Ravi Group banner.
The trailer launch event of the film, which is releasing worldwide in theaters from January 15th, was held in Chennai. The event was attended by co-producer Muthukumaran, stunt director Prabhu Jackie, actors Sarjin, Sashti, Sarath, Rajesh, Hitesh, Subash, Subramani, Jaivanth, Thambi Ramaiah, Jiiva, actresses Prarthana Nathan, Manimegalai, associate director Libin, and other members of the film crew.
Speaking at the event, co-producer Muthukumaran said,
“The film ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalamaiyil’ was initially scheduled for release on January 30th. But now we are releasing it earlier, on January 15th. A film was supposed to be released under the leadership of ‘Thalaivar’ (leader). Now, a film is being released under the leadership of ‘Thalaivar Thambi’ (leader’s younger brother). We started the pre-production work for this film on the Tamil New Year’s Day in April. We are releasing it on Thai Pongal.” The film crew worked with complete dedication for this project. If the first shot was at 7 AM, actor Jiiva would be ready on the set by 6:55 AM. All the crew members worked together harmoniously and happily on the set. We also received the blessings of the Rain God on the set. The shooting of Jiiva’s 45th film, ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalamaiyil’, was successfully completed under his leadership in 45 days. Since the film is releasing earlier than the planned date, the director, editor, and music composer are currently working on the final stages of post-production, and therefore, they were unable to attend this event. The film is excellent,” he said.
Speaking at the event, actor Jaiwanth said,
“TTT (Thalaivar Thambi Thalamaiyil) can be called ‘The Time For Twist’. We are very happy that the film is releasing on the 15th, even though it was announced for January 30th. For any artist, it is a joyous occasion when their film releases during a festive season. In that sense, I consider this ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalamaiyil’ film a success. They say, ‘When Thai (Tamil month) arrives, new opportunities arise’. In that way, I think this year will be a great year for all the actors and technicians who worked on this film. This is a very entertaining film. You could also call it a feel-good movie. Throughout the 45 days of shooting, we all worked together happily like a family. Actor Jiiva always kept the set lively and energetic. I would like to express my gratitude to him at this moment. This is the first family entertainer of the year. I request everyone to come to the theaters, watch and enjoy the film,” he said.
Speaking at the event, actress Prarthana Nathan said,
“This film, ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalamaiyil’, is special to me. When I think of 2025, I mostly remember this film. We all stayed in a wonderful place near the Western Ghats.” The shooting took place over 45 days. When it concluded, I felt happy, but I was also saddened by the thought of parting ways! That’s how much we all bonded and worked together happily as a family. In this film, I have played the character of Soumya, a bride. This film revolves around the emotional and various other feelings experienced the day before my character’s wedding. I express my gratitude to the director and producer for giving me the opportunity to act in such a challenging role,” she said.
Actor Thambi Ramaiah said,
“This year, ‘Thalaivar Thambi Thalamaiyil’ is a film that has received a clean ‘U’ certificate and is worthy of being enjoyed by the entire family in theaters. I am happy that I have a part in it.
For the past few years, I haven’t agreed to act in any films. I have earned a little bit of a good name through the films I acted in during the past years. I didn’t want to spoil that, so I didn’t accept any roles.
When the film’s director, Nithish, narrated the story, I immediately felt the urge to act in it. A vibrant story finds what it needs on its own.”
