The objectivity of a filmmaker is measured by two aspects – censor certification of the film and more importantly, the crux of the plot presented on the screen by the writer, director which in other words, the maker’s vision of the script.
While the former is evident as far as this film’s certification, the latter poses a billion dollar question as to whether the final outcome delivers a poetic justice!
Sarath Kumar plays Moorthi a boat specialist who is involved in several shady dealings.
The apple of his eye is his daughter who is in love with her college-mate.
When he learns that they both are in love Moorthi becomes infuriated and what adds further fuel to the fire is the fact that the boy hails from a poor background.
He manages to kidnap the boy and takes him out into the sea followed by some sea-facing adventures.
The climax could have been thought out and planned better.
Jessie Gift has come up with a couple of good numbers. Both the cinematography and editing deserve mention.
Sarath Kumar dominates the frames through his domineering performance.
But is such a fury justifiable is the point to ponder!
There is an abundance of thrills and chills in the second half.
