One of the noteworthy releases of this season that toys with a theme which is daringly different.
The screenplay delves deep into the depth of love of a youth who falls in love with his office mate.
The film opens on a pleasant note deliberating on the living trends of the contemporary generation.
Karthik (Pappu) gives a ‘surprise’ shock to Sumithra (Anupama) at the bride-see ceremony, who is already well acquainted with him officially.
As Sumi has her own reservations about marriage, they strike a deal that they live together for 6 months and then part company through divorce!
But unfortunately, they are forced to part, prior to that period, owing to the force of circumstances.
While visiting a friend ‘s family they find that a couple who had lost their daughter had got a doll made exactly like their daughter treating the doll as their own daughter and they keep interacting with the doll in a one- sided manner!
Karthik draws a parallel line and gets a doll made which looks like Sumi.
At a point, Sumi comes to know of it and takes the ‘position’ of that look alike doll!
The emotional climax reveals the rest.
Pappu is good as the male lead while Anupama is passable.
M. Fazil’s background score fills the bill adequately.
Aravinth Raj deserves a pat on his back for his deft handling of a delicate theme.
