The comedy film “Oorukku Rendu Oothari,” starring Prajin and Pugazh, is directed by Yogeswaran Minor.
Following in the footsteps of films like Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan, “Oorukku Rendu Oothari” is a full-length comedy film.
Produced grandly by Ramakrishnan Arumugam of ARK PRODUCTIONS and Vinoth Perumal of ECOPMIN MOTION PICTURES, the film has been given the lively title “Oorukku Rendu Oothari.”
Popular actors Prajin and Pugazh play the lead roles.
Janani, who gained popularity through Bigg Boss and played a significant role in the film ‘Leo’, plays the female lead in this film.
Vikram Vijay is introduced in a key role alongside them. Ravi Maria, Mime Gopi, Deepa Akka, and Abitha also star in the film.
Popular music director Srikanth Deva composes the music for this film, while Raja Bhattacharjee, who has worked on films like Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, Kazhugu 2, Naan Mirugamai Maara, and Ninaivellam Neeyada, handles the cinematography. Senthamizh Selvan handles the editing, and Manikandan is the art director.
Mirattal Selva is the stunt master, and Rengasamy is the costume designer.

What Director Yogeswaran Minor said about the film…
We are creating this as a complete comedy drama. Generally, every town has two wastrels, but we are going to make an interesting full-length comedy film based on what happens when there are two wastrels in the same house.
For the past ten years, we’ve only been seeing action-packed films with fights and violence. A film fan expects to forget their worries and laugh and enjoy themselves for those two hours. This film will be a full-fledged entertainer for the audience, said director Yogeshwaran Minor.
The film’s launch ceremony was held today (05.02.2026) morning in Chennai. Actors Vijay Sethupathi, producers Suresh Kamatchi, C.V. Kumar, K. Ramesh Pandian of KKR Cinemas, directors Subramaniam Siva, Srinath, Sondar Raja, and actor Ganja Karuppu participated in the event and launched the film.
Filming is scheduled to take place at the end of this month in Theni and the surrounding areas. The production company has announced that the film will be released as a summer treat this year.
