The blockbuster political drama ‘Parasakthi’ premieres digitally on ZEE5 from February 7th!!

ZEE5, India’s largest homegrown video streaming platform, is set to digitally premiere the highly anticipated political action drama “Parasakthi” from February 7, 2026. Directed by National Award-winning director Sudha Kongara and produced by Akash Baskaran under the banner of Dawn Pictures, the film brings to life a powerful chapter from Tamil Nadu’s socio-political history.
Set against the backdrop of the 1965 anti-Hindi imposition protests, Parasakthi revolves around themes of identity, self-respect, and resistance, telling the emotional story of two brothers caught up in the pivotal movement of that era. Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead role of Chezhiyan, a principled young man actively involved in the anti-Hindi imposition struggle.
Sharing insights into the film’s background, director Sudha Kongara said,
“Parasakthi was born from a deep desire to tell a story about respect, language, and the power of collective thought. It’s not just about a political movement; it’s about how ordinary people’s lives are affected when their identity is questioned. Sivakarthikeyan said,
