Press Conference for the Film ‘BIKER’ Starring Sharwanand!!

“Biker” is a grandly produced film—touted as India’s first bike sports movie—starring leading actor Sharwanand, alongside Dr. Rajasekhar, Malavika Nair, and Atul Kulkarni. The film is directed by Abhilash Reddy. Produced by UV Creations, and presented by Vikram Reddy, the movie is produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati.

This film is set for a Pan-Indian theatrical release on April 3, 2026, across multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. In this context, the film’s crew met with members of the Tamil press and media in Chennai to promote the Tamil version of the movie.

Speaking at the event, Motorcycle Trainer Roshini stated:

“Although this was a new experience for me, I felt a very deep connection to it. Since I provide motorcycle training to women, I was able to easily understand the world depicted in this film. ‘Biker’ felt even more special because it is a movie based on real-life incidents. I believe this film will serve as a great source of inspiration for the youth and for bike racing enthusiasts. In the landscape of Indian cinema, this film—which centers around motorcycle racing—appears to be a highly significant endeavor. I could sense that the director’s true objective was to ensure that more people become aware of this sport. Dr. Rajasekhar’s performance was reminiscent of a stern yet affectionate father. The protagonist, Sharwanand, has completely dedicated himself to his role, truly transforming into an authentic racer.” Production Designer Rajeevan spoke as follows:

“Although the art direction in this film may not be immediately apparent on the surface, it involved a tremendous amount of hard work and meticulous attention to detail behind the scenes. While racing sequences are typically filmed abroad, recreating these races for this specific film presented a significant challenge. Since the story unfolds across two distinct time periods, we paid extra attention to selecting the appropriate motorcycles and props for each era. We worked diligently to ensure that the details specific to each time period appeared authentic and credible. We transformed existing tracks and created environments specifically tailored to suit the new racing sequences. The primary task of the production design team was to construct these specific settings. Many of the necessary elements were sourced from abroad; specifically, numerous items were procured from countries such as Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand. We worked intensely to ensure that the race tracks appeared both natural and realistic. Our primary objective was for the audience to experience a genuine racing world on screen. Our efforts went beyond merely constructing a set; we strove to create a complete and immersive racing experience. Fans will undoubtedly recognize and appreciate the immense effort and intricate detail that went into the production design of this film when they watch it on screen. Thank you.”

Cinematographer Madhi spoke as follows:

“Working alongside this film crew felt just like working with family. Although I have previously collaborated with many members of the cast—including Revathi and Prabhu—this particular film offered a truly unique experience. In particular, while filming the racing sequences proved to be quite challenging, we gave our absolute best to capture them in the most spectacular manner possible. I would like to express my gratitude to the entire crew—including Abhijith—for their invaluable cooperation. The racing shoot, which spanned a continuous period of one month, was a monumental experience. It will undoubtedly remain one of the most unforgettable highlights of my cinematic journey. It was the collective dedication of the entire crew that truly made this film exceptional. My best wishes go out to every single member of the film unit.” Music Composer Ghibran spoke as follows:

“First and foremost, I would like to thank Vamsi Sir for giving me the opportunity to compose the music for this film. It was he who introduced me to Abhilash. I felt a positive connection with Abhilash right from our very first meeting. I was filled with both surprise and delight the moment I heard the story. I have always had a deep fondness for stories that possess such intensity and depth. It was a joy to collaborate with Sharwanand once again. Since the story is set in Tamil Nadu and spans the period from the 1990s to the 2000s, its cultural milieu felt very familiar and close to me. The fact that many members of the crew spoke Tamil created an environment that proved to be immensely helpful during the production process. Sound design played a pivotal role in capturing and conveying the distinct sonic nuances of the world of bike racing.
I am confident that this film will transcend regional boundaries and be appreciated on an international level. The performances delivered by every actor in the film are truly exceptional. I urge everyone to watch and support this film right from its very first day of release. Thank you.”

Director Abhilash Reddy spoke as follows:

“It is both an honor and a moment of nervousness for me to be speaking on this stage, in the presence of such esteemed senior artists and technical experts. The film Biker is not merely a story about racing; it is a narrative that is deeply imbued with profound human emotions.
That is precisely why I am delighted to be releasing this film in Tamil as well. Although I am not fluent in speaking Tamil myself, I am confident that this film will undoubtedly touch the hearts of Tamil audiences. The contributions of all the technical crew members—including Rajeevan Sir, Madhi Sir, Yuvaraj Sir, and Ghibran Sir—have been invaluable to this film…”
It feels like a very strong bond. Every time I visit Chennai, my desire to learn Tamil grows stronger.

I also hope that by the time I visit next, I will be able to speak Tamil even more fluently. I also harbor a desire to direct a Tamil film in the future. This film would not have been possible without the contributions of actors such as Sharwanand Sir, Rajasekhar Sir, and Malavika Madam. Each of them has brought their respective characters to life in an exceptional manner. This film is the result of the collective effort of everyone involved. My humble request is that you watch and support this film in theaters on April 3rd. Thank you.

Actor Nirup spoke as follows:

When I was approached to act in this film, I had only completed two films prior to that. Receiving such a significant role at that stage of my career was a truly joyful experience for me. I am grateful for the opportunity, which I secured through an audition process. I do not wish to reveal too much about my character at this moment, as I want it to remain a suspenseful surprise for the audience. However, this film has given me not only a wonderful professional opportunity but also many good friends. Working alongside Sharwa Anna was a truly beautiful experience. Rajasekhar Sir is a wonderful human being; I feel there is still so much I can learn from him. Malavika Madam, too, has delivered an outstanding performance in her role. Yuvaraj Sir has crafted visuals for this film that are a sheer feast for the eyes. The full impact and experience of this film can truly be felt only when watched in a theater. Abhilash Sir has created a beautiful cinematic world—one that is filled with surprises, high-octane races, and deep emotional resonance. This is a film that fans across all languages—be it Tamil, Telugu, or Kannada—will undoubtedly enjoy. Thank you.

Actress Malavika spoke as follows:

It gives me immense joy to be back in Chennai. The love and warm welcome I receive here are something I will cherish forever. I have a strong desire to act in many more Tamil films in the future. Similarly, I hope you will extend the same love and support you have shown to Sharwa’s previous films to our movie, Biker. I need not say much about Sharwa, as you all know him very well already. My humble request is that you all watch and enjoy our film in theaters. Thank you.

Dr. Rajasekhar spoke as follows:

“I find it a bit difficult to walk right now; our hero, Sharwanand, extended his hand and escorted me onto the stage. I suffered a fracture in my leg three months ago, and it is only just beginning to heal now. I have had the experience of fracturing both my legs in the past while performing stunts for films. On that occasion, my left leg fractured first—and that, too, happened right in the middle of a film shoot. Since that accident was quite severe, I was admitted to Apollo Hospital to undergo treatment. Although the doctors advised me to rest at the time, I simply could not stay put in the hospital because the release of my film, Idhanda Police, was fast approaching. On December 8th—the day the film was released—I went straight from the hospital to Sathyam Cinemas to watch it. That film had already achieved massive success in Telugu even before its Tamil release. I recall many people telling me back then that the fracture was actually a good omen—a sign that the film would turn out to be a massive hit.

Similarly, since I have returned to Sathyam Cinemas once again with a fracture—just as I did back then—I am confident that this film, too, will achieve great success. The film is scheduled to release on April 3rd. I urge everyone to come to the theaters and extend your support. I wholeheartedly believe that, through the love of the fans, this film will emerge as a resounding success.”

Actor Sharwanand spoke as follows:

“It gives me great joy to return to Chennai after a long hiatus. From Engaeyum Eppothum to Kanam, I have always shared a deep bond with the Tamil audience. I have always harbored a special affection and respect for Tamil cinema and the people of Tamil Nadu. That is precisely why, whenever I release a film in Tamil, I make a conscious effort to choose stories that are distinct and unique. If you look back at my cinematic journey, you will observe that each of my films belongs to a different, distinct genre.” Similarly, the film Biker holds a very significant place in my cinematic journey. I can proudly state that, in my entire career, this stands as my finest film. This is because it marks the first-ever Motocross film produced within Indian cinema.

Technically as well as emotionally, this film represents a monumental effort. For this role, I shed 22 kilograms and transformed myself to portray two distinct dimensions: that of an 18-year-old youth and a 30-year-old man. This film has proven to be a turning point—one that has transformed me not merely as an actor, but as a human being as well. The contributions of everyone involved—including Rajeevan, Mathi, Yuvaraj, Ghibran, Rajasekar, Malavika, and Vamsi Reddy—have made this film truly exceptional. Crafted over two years with immense dedication, this film is set to release on April 3rd; I urge Tamil audiences to come to the theaters and extend their support. Thank you, everyone.

This film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 3rd.
