“Vanakkam Vanakkam Bengaluru” Concludes as a Massive Success; Next Edition, “Vanakkam Vanakkam Chennai,” Coming Soon
The “Vanakkam Vanakkam Bengaluru” festival—an event designed to unite the South Indian hip-hop music landscape—has concluded as a resounding success. Held on April 11th at the Bhartiya Mall of Bengaluru, the event featured over eight artists hailing from three different states, who shared a single stage to deliver a high-octane, electrifying experience for the fans.
Alongside spirited performances by Vedan, Capri, Stik, Chandan Shetty, and Dagaldi, special sets presented by Tamil artists Arivu and Asal Kolaar received an overwhelming response from the audience.
By bringing together the diverse facets of Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil hip-hop music on a single platform, the festival served as a musical convergence that transcended linguistic and cultural boundaries. Fueled by a massive turnout of fans, the event evolved into an exhilarating experience that fostered a strong sense of community bonding.
Organized jointly by Alt+ and The High Culture, this event marked a pivotal milestone in the growth of the South Indian independent hip-hop movement.
Furthermore, this tour IP—conceptualized around the catchphrase “Vanakkam Vanakkam,” which artist Vedan frequently uses during his stage performances—is rapidly emerging as a powerful cultural identifier among today’s youth.
Following the phenomenal reception received in Bengaluru, the next edition of this tour, titled “Vanakkam Vanakkam Chennai,” is scheduled to take place very soon.
Subsequently, the tour is set to expand to other major cities—including Hyderabad and Mumbai—before eventually extending its reach globally to various countries around the world.
