Robinhood was one historic character that we have come across both in the Print Media as well as on the Big Screen.
The basic trait of that character was to steal from the rich to help the poor.
Drawing a perfect parallel line is this film’s protagonist enacted in a powerful manner with practised by the National Award(s) winning actor, Dhanush who plays the title role.
He has asserted his class and calibre with clinical precision.
Mamitha Baiju is cast in a subdued role here but she has still managed to make a mark!
Both Suraj Venjanamodu and Jayaram, both from Kollywood sleep walk in their respective roles.
K. S. Ravikumar the filmmaker turned actor has been cast in a character that is very linear and has recorded his portrayal in a subtle manner.
Vignesh Raja who took off to a brilliant start with Por Thozhil has certainly graduated to the next higher plane through this flick which deliberates on the battle of one single individual who goes all out to champion the cause of the poor who raise loans when they are in dire need while being pushed to the corner on failing to repay the quantam back.
A movie that lingers in our hearts even long after leaving the theatres after watching it!
