On behalf of Drums Jerry Entertainment, and produced by Mr. Glady Gerad, the launch ceremony for the music album titled “Uyirinaiye”—under the overarching theme of “Uravugal” (Relationships)—was held yesterday in Chennai.
Director and lyricist Mr. Gangai Amaran, music composer Sadha Sudharsanam, Kannan, Thavaseelithanraj, Sago Ganesan, and producer Ravikanth were among those who attended the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Gangai Amaran stated the following:
While speaking about producer Glady Gerad, he noted that the compilation of this project is a reflection of the producer’s noble intentions. He observed that Mr. Gerad has crafted a narrative—featuring excellent social relationships—by utilizing AI technology to bring actors to life. “Many of us grew up under the musical tutelage of our elder brother, ‘Isaignani’ (Maestro Ilaiyaraaja). We would send our own children to him to learn vocal techniques. We were blessed with the fortune of growing up under such a Guru; I am unsure whether the children of this generation have been granted that same privilege or not. In the past, we would sing a song continuously, from start to finish; nowadays, we sing it line by line—feeding each segment into an AI system. How, then, can we truly take pride in ourselves? To be honest, I firmly assert that AI technology is, in fact, corrupting us. If we rely on it to perform our work, our own brains will eventually cease to function. If you simply input a theme into an AI system, it generates the entire song on its own; how, then, can we legitimately claim authorship over it? The reason I emphasize this is that the children of the future must learn to think independently and must possess the ability to write on their own. It is my heartfelt desire that the children of the future bring forth and express the unique, authentic selves that reside within them.” Having spent 50 years of his life in the music industry, he concluded by saying, “We have lived our lives immersed in music; I ask that you embrace us with your love and support. Whether in dreams or in reality, music is our very breath,” and offered his thanks to everyone present.
