Malavika Menon Stars Under the Direction of Aadhirajan!
Silandhi was a groundbreaking film that achieved massive success upon its release as the first fully digital feature film in Tamil cinema. Produced under the banner of ‘G Company’ by Shankar Palanisamy, the film was written and directed by Aadhirajan. Now, the same production house and the same director are joining forces once again for Silandhi – Part 2. This film is being crafted as a gripping thriller with a colossal budget, spanning six languages: Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali. Malavika Menon—who has been making waves across the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam film industries—stars as the female lead in a distinct and challenging role. Negotiations are currently underway to cast leading actors from various linguistic industries in pivotal supporting roles. Featuring a team of renowned technical experts, the film’s shooting is scheduled to take place in Cambodia and Vietnam. Produced in a stylistic vein reminiscent of films like Hridayam (starring Kalyani Priyadarshan) and Kantara, this movie features over 30 minutes of extensive graphic sequences alone. It is noteworthy that Silandhi – 2—a high-budget production utilizing cutting-edge technology—marks the fifth directorial venture for Aadhirajan.
