Bringing together two of the Malayalam film industry’s biggest stars—Mammootty and Mohanlal—after a gap of 18 years, the film also features Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, and Kunchacko Boban in pivotal roles.
Blending elements of espionage, politics, technology, and emotional drama, Patriot explores the dangerous consequences of unchecked surveillance within a system rife with secrecy and power.
At the heart of the story lies a man who helped create a sophisticated government surveillance program, believing it would serve to protect the nation. However, when he discovers that the very system is being weaponized against innocent citizens—through manipulation, intimidation, and control—he is compelled to question everything he once believed in.
As he turns against the very system he helped build, Patriot delves into the blurred line between patriotism and treason, raising the question of whether exposing the truth makes one a traitor or a true patriot.
While set against an Indian socio-political backdrop, Patriot centers on universal concerns regarding surveillance and privacy, transforming a massive conspiracy into a compelling cinematic experience.
