This is actor Udhaya. May 4, 2026 is a day that deserves to be written in history. We are witnessing a tremendous people’s verdict. People’s verdict is the verdict of God. Believing that change is necessary, the people of Tamil Nadu have voted for the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam led by Thalapathy Vijay and have delivered a massive victory today. Once again, it has been proven that there is no power greater than the power of the people.
Although the full results are yet to come, it is my duty to congratulate Vijay Anna right now. A man who has faced countless problems, humiliations, and opposition with unwavering confidence, and with the sole aim of doing good for the people, sacrificed a top position as an actor to enter public service and has now won the hearts of the people.
Despite numerous criticisms, mockery, and defamatory campaigns, the fact that he has overcome everything and emerged victorious today is truly remarkable. They said he would not enter politics—he did. They said even if he came, he would not stand boldly—he did. They said even if he stood, he would not win—today, he has proven them wrong. This victory is a certificate of his good intentions, kind heart, and the love people have for him. In every constituency, people voted as if Vijay Anna himself was contesting, and have given this victory.
When a top actor entered politics to serve the people, many mocked him in various ways. Many people from the film industry themselves mocked him, calling him “just a cinema person,” and stayed silent without offering support. However, through his self-confidence and good intentions, he has proven that not only those from the film industry, but anyone from any field can succeed in politics if they have the support of the people.
It is everyone’s wish that Vijay Anna assumes office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and creates a new history. We have firm belief that he will do good for the people. From the beginning, I have supported TVK, and I will always stand by Vijay as a younger brother and a loyal supporter.
This victory has been given by the people in unity, without any divisions or ego. There is a strong possibility that TVK will win with a clear majority. I believe that after this victory, not only the film industry but all sectors will flourish further.
