Producer Celebrates Birthday Amidst the Joy of Completing the ‘Aruvadai’ Shoot!
Everyone desires a happy state of mind when celebrating a birthday. That joy doubles when the celebration coincides with the satisfaction and fulfillment of having successfully completed a significant task or a noble endeavor. Producer M. Karthikesan is currently experiencing precisely this kind of double delight.
Having previously produced the film ‘Lara’, he is now working on his second production, ‘Aruvadai’, under the banner of M.K. Film Media Works Private Limited.
M. Karthikesan, who previously debuted as an actor-producer, has now taken on the role of director for the first time. He plays the lead role in ‘Aruvadai’, with Simran Raj starring as the female lead. ‘Paruthiveeran’ Saravanan plays a pivotal role, alongside Rajasimman, Gajaraj, Anuparami Kavitha, and Deepa Bhaskar. The film features cinematography by Premkumar Murugesan, music by Raghu Sravan Kumar, and editing by K.K. Vignesh. Lyrics are penned by Karthik Netha, Karthikesan, and Gaana Sakthi. The crew also includes Choreographer AMJ, Art Directors Jothin Vishak and Anupsha, Stunt Coordinator TR, and Associate Director Jayan.
While many recent films follow urban-centric templates, the ‘Aruvadai’ team has chosen a different path by focusing on a rural setting. The film has been crafted to reflect the lifestyle, culture, and traditions of rural communities.
The team wrapped up the shooting of ‘Aruvadai’ while celebrating the Pongal festival—a day traditionally known as the harvest festival. Director M. Karthikesan, who celebrated his birthday today following the completion of the film, spoke about the project:
“The screenplay is crafted to illustrate how a minor issue within an ordinary person’s household escalates into a massive crisis that wreaks havoc on society. We titled the film ‘Aruvadai’ (Harvest), centering it on the philosophy that ‘one reaps what one sows.’ We plan to release the film globally in July.
It brings me great joy to celebrate my birthday today, June 14th, right after wrapping up the shoot. In this sense, my birthday this year fills me with a deep sense of satisfaction, happiness, and fulfillment.”
