One of the most noteworthy films of this season, this is punctuated by the breathtaking brilliance of Y. Gee. Mahendra, the stage and screen veteran of several decades.
Suhasini halaivasal Manirathnam as his wife appears cut out for the part!
Thalaivasal Vijay lends good support. Raj Ayyappa appears to be getting typecast. Ramya Pandiyan is adequate as the daughter in law of Charukesi, the legendary musical genius.
Charukesi ( Y. Gee. Mahendra) is a top rated singer who is held in a very high esteem.
His wife Bhagyam (Suhasini Manirathnam) takes full care of the household.
But unfortunately, their only son (Raj Ayyappa) holds a grudge against his father.
He gets married on his own to a singer (Ramya Pandiyan) who holds animosity towards Charukesi for some reasons pertaining to the past.
Before Charukesi breathes his last, not only does the veteran musician come up with a new song but also regains his lost memory that he lost owing to Alzheimer’s. His son too, realises his mistake and depends.
Seasoned scorer Deva who has collaborated very successfully with Suresh Krissna in the past has come up with some good tunes.
Suresh Krissna asserts his seniority well.
