“Moments like these always evoke a sense of emotion. It brings me great joy to see Director Harish on this stage today. He began his journey with the dream of making a mark in cinema as a new director. He has worked hard for years to turn that dream into reality. It is a wonderful thing that ‘Con City,’ directed by him, is now set for release. Arjun Das has already captured the audience’s attention through significant films like ‘Kaithi’ and ‘Master,’ and the experience of working alongside him has been truly special.” I believe this film will be a massive theatrical success for him. Watching the trailer and songs gave me a very positive feeling; it has shaped up to be an excellent family entertainer. Director Harish has crafted a highly engaging and enjoyable screenplay. Each song is unique in style and truly memorable. ‘Con City’ is the kind of movie families can enjoy together in theaters. I urge all fans to come to the theaters, support the film, and ensure it gets a grand opening and achieves great success.
Art Director Rajkamal said:
“Greetings. First, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Director Harish for giving me the opportunity to work on this film. My team and I put in a tremendous amount of effort to create the world of ‘Con City.’ Since the film required extensive set designs, we had to plan and execute the work on a large scale. My entire team worked with great dedication and hard work; I extend my special thanks to them. All the technicians on this film are like friends to me. Everyone was fully committed to their respective fields, making the work both interesting and enjoyable. We worked together as a family throughout the entire shoot. I hope the audience will appreciate the world and visuals we have created for ‘Con City’ when they watch it in theaters. I request your support and best wishes for the film. Thank you.” Costume designer Nawa spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. First, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the producer and director Harish for giving me the opportunity to work on this film. Standing on this stage today fills me with great happiness and pride. I thank everyone who has supported me and made this opportunity possible.
It was a pleasure working with Arjun Das again; he extended his full cooperation, and I offer him my special thanks. Similarly, working with Vadivukkarasi Amma was a truly special experience for me; the moments shared with her are unforgettable. I am delighted to have worked alongside all the artists in this film. We have created a wide range of costume designs and looks tailored to the various characters, and I hope the audience will enjoy seeing them on the big screen. My entire costume team is like family to me; their hard work and dedication—honed over years of working together—are reflected in this film. My sincere thanks to everyone. The technical crew has done an outstanding job. Everyone—including music composer Sean Roldan, art director Rajkamal, cinematographer Aravind, and stunt master Santhosh—has contributed their very best.”
“On behalf of the team, I have a request for all fans and friends in the media: please visit the theaters, watch the movie ‘Con City,’ and extend your support and blessings.
Finally, I would like to express my special gratitude to my assistants and the costume team. This journey would not have been possible without their support. Thank you, everyone.”
Choreographer Santhosh spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. Working on the film ‘Con City’ was a wonderful experience. You have likely seen the songs released recently; it is heartening to see the visuals and choreography receive such a positive reception from the audience.
Director Harish shared unique ideas for each song, and his approach was fascinating. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of creating the songs based on his vision.
A large number of dancers participated in the songs for this film, and working with them was an unforgettable experience. Everyone on the set worked with great dedication.
Director Harish’s greatest strength is his positive attitude. He always works with enthusiasm and a clear vision. He understood exactly what the film required and guided the team accordingly; that confidence and energy inspired the entire crew.
All the artists, including Arjun Das, put in tremendous effort. Despite the fatigue that can arise during filming, everyone gave their best. The direction team, the cinematography crew, and everyone else cooperated beautifully.
Working with Vadivukkarasi Amma was also a delightful experience. Her experience and dedication served as an inspiration to us all. Her expertise was particularly evident in how precisely she executed even the smallest movements and lip-sync sequences in the songs.” “Every song in this film has been crafted in a unique style. Each track offers a fresh experience and a distinct emotional resonance. I am confident that the audience will enjoy them in theaters.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Director Harish, the producer, and the entire film crew for this opportunity. Thank you all.”
Editor Arul Moses spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. First, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Director Harish for giving me this opportunity.
The film ‘Con City’ tells a story that resonates easily with everyone’s life. That is why I believe it will be well-received by audiences from all walks of life.
I must thank Vijay Anna for playing a pivotal role in getting me this opportunity. It was his faith and support that brought me on this journey.
I also wish to acknowledge my key guide and mentor, Selva Anna, at this moment. He played a crucial role in my standing on this stage today and in my work on this film. This project is especially significant to me as it marks my first theatrical release. The entire crew has worked with immense dedication. I urge the audience to watch the film in theaters and share their feedback and reviews. Your support and love mean the world to us. Thank you all.”
Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. I am delighted to be standing on this stage. First, I extend my heartfelt thanks to Director Harish Anna for this opportunity.
It fills me with pride to see Harish Anna—who comes from a middle-class background like us—achieve this position as a director and producer today.” Having closely followed his journey, this film holds a deeply personal and emotional significance for me.
Through this project, I had the opportunity to work with talented artists such as Arjun Das, Yogi Babu, and Anna Ben; the experience of collaborating with them was truly wonderful.
Music composer Sean Roldan has created a magnificent score for the film. Seeing the recently released songs and musical snippets, I could feel the world of the movie coming to life beautifully. The entire cast and crew worked together like a family. The contributions of everyone—including Art Director Rajkamal, Costume Designer Nawa, Editor Arul Moses, and Choreographer Santhosh—have been a tremendous asset to the film.
I would especially like to express my gratitude to the assistant directors, the camera crew, and all the technicians working behind the scenes. They have worked tirelessly for countless hours to craft this film into something special.
The movie ‘Con City’ is the result of our collective hard work. I hope fans will come to the theaters to watch the film…
…I earnestly request you to watch it and extend your support. Thank you.”
Lyricist Mohan Rajan spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. My special greetings to the journalists and friends from the media. This film is very important to me, and I am eagerly awaiting its success. The primary reason for this is the director, Harish.
I became emotionally invested in this story the moment Harish first narrated it to me. I am reminded today of the days we spent sitting on a tea shop bench, dreaming and discussing who would star in the film and how it would take shape.
Arjun Das sir, that initial ‘okay’ you gave upon hearing the story is the reason this film stands on this stage today. My heartfelt thanks to you for that; I also convey a huge thank you on behalf of Harish. From the very day the story was written, you were the only actor he envisioned for this role—he had that much faith in you.
I believe this film will bring you immense success as a lead actor. I have watched the movie multiple times, and each viewing has offered a fresh surprise.
Yogi Babu anna has delivered a fantastic performance in this film; his character is sure to be well-received by the audience. Sean Roldan holds a special place for me; I believe my name gained widespread recognition as a lyricist only after I began collaborating with him. Many songs and works born of our partnership have received a great reception.
There are seven songs in the film Con City, and they blend naturally with the narrative. In particular, we crafted some songs to evoke the spirit of classic Tamil philosophical tracks. My thanks to Harish for that idea; he is a creator who works with great confidence. It is my wish to continue collaborating with him on his future projects as well.” “The scenes featuring Vadivukkarasi Amma and Yogi Babu Anna will greatly captivate the audience. Vadivukkarasi Amma’s performance astonished us. Having already been a fan of hers, I became an even bigger admirer after this film. The entire technical crew worked exceptionally well. The fact that our whole team worked together like a family was the film’s greatest strength. I am eagerly waiting for the film to succeed and to see that joy on Harish’s face—a joy akin to an elder brother watching his younger brother succeed. My thanks to everyone. I take my leave with the hope that the film succeeds and that we meet again at the success celebration. Thank you.”
Actor VTV Ganesh spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone, and a special, warm greeting to the journalists and friends from the media. ‘Con C’ty’ was a very unique experience for me. I had never acted in a storyline like this before. The way director Harish approached me was truly distinctive. Generally, I always prioritize new directors because they bring fresh ideas and new perspectives.
When Harish came to narrate the story, the first thing I asked was, ‘Who is the producer?’ Starting a film is easy these days, but completing it and bringing it to theaters is a massive undertaking; having the confidence to do so is what matters. Harish instilled that confidence and courage in me.
My confidence grew further when I learned that talented artists like Arjun Das and Yogi Babu were part of the film. They worked without compromising on production or planning, and that is what drew me to this project.
The film’s greatest strength is Harish’s clear vision. He knows exactly what he wants. He avoided unnecessary elements and planned and executed the scenes with precision.” The planning was so precise that I was able to complete and submit my work a day ahead of schedule.
The world of ‘Con City’ created in the film is fascinating; it is no ordinary city. The director has used imagination and humor to depict the events unfolding within it and the lives of its inhabitants. He built this world by drawing inspiration from certain real-life incidents as well.
I would particularly like to commend the work of cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan. His approach, his visual perspective, and the way he crafted the film’s look were outstanding. I believe he will emerge as one of the most talented cinematographers of the current generation.
Similarly, editor Arul Moses has done a remarkable job—so much so that one would never guess this is his debut film. His editing is of exceptional quality, and he has expertly managed the film’s pacing and engagement.
As an actor, Arjun Das continues to scale new heights. This film will bring him immense success. Yogi Babu, Vadivukkarasi Amma, and the entire cast have brilliantly brought their characters to life.
Today, releasing a film in theaters is a far greater challenge than actually making it. Having overcome that challenge, ‘Con City’ is now arriving to meet the audience. I wholeheartedly appreciate Harish and the film crew for this achievement.
I hope this film achieves massive success and that the crew’s hard work receives the recognition it deserves. I urge all fans to visit theaters, watch the movie, and show their support. Thank you, everyone.”
Actor Aruldoss spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. Working with the ‘Con City’ team was a truly delightful experience for me. Most members of this crew belong to the younger generation; from the outside, they might look like a college cultural committee, but in reality, they are experienced, talented, and professional artists. That is the team’s greatest strength.
As for Director Harish, he has a very clear vision of what he needs. He avoids shooting unnecessary scenes and focuses precisely on what is essential for the story. Consequently, the shoot proceeded smoothly, without causing fatigue to the artists.
In today’s digital era, it has become common practice to shoot a single scene from multiple angles. Harish, however, is different; he shot only what was necessary for the story and worked without wasting time. That is his strength.
Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, costume designer Nawa, and the rest of the technical crew have all done an excellent job. Each of them has contributed to elevating the quality of the film.
This is not my first time working with Arjun Das; I have worked with him previously. He has performed with great dedication in this film as well. Harish brings experience gained from working on several good films, and that experience is clearly reflected in this movie. The filming process was highly organized, and all tasks were completed within the scheduled timeframe.” “Post-production work, including dubbing, was completed quickly. I was thoroughly satisfied when I watched the film. Regardless of the movie I act in, I don’t look at whether a role is big or small; I focus on whether the character holds significance. In this film, I play an Electricity Board official—a role that is both interesting and crucial to the story. I believe this team will secure a significant place in the future of Tamil cinema. Our cinema grows because new creators and technicians keep entering the field. In that regard, the film ‘Con City’ will bring many talents to the forefront. The collaboration between Sean Roldan and Mohan Rajan consistently delivers excellent work, and they have done a fantastic job on this film as well. I wholeheartedly wish for this movie to be a massive success and to earn Director Harish great recognition as both a director and a producer in Tamil cinema. Thank you, everyone.”
Imman Annachi spoke as follows:
“My warm greetings to everyone. I have also played a role in the film ‘Con City.’ First, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Director Harish for choosing me for this character.
When I first arrived at the shooting spot, the atmosphere was filled with the energy of the younger generation. Everyone—from the cinematographer to the assistant directors—was working with great enthusiasm and dedication. Seeing that environment made me feel as though I were on a college campus.
At one point, I asked the director, ‘Was choosing me for this role the right decision?’ He replied, ‘I actually wrote this character with you in mind.’ Those words gave me immense happiness and confidence.
Arjun Das has worked with great dedication for this film.” The effort and patience he demonstrated for certain specific scenes are truly commendable. He is an actor who fully embraces and embodies any look or character. I believe this film will bring him immense success.
Working alongside Vadivukkarasi Amma, Yogi Babu, and the rest of the cast was a delightful experience. There was always a family-like atmosphere on the set.
The entire technical crew worked incredibly hard on this film; their dedication and effort are evident in every single scene. Director Harish, in particular, deserves praise for his initiative and the hard work he put into making this movie.
‘Con City’ will captivate audiences as a powerful entertainer. I urge everyone to visit the theaters, watch the film, and show their support. I sincerely hope the movie achieves great success and rewards the team for their hard work. Thank you, everyone.”
Actor Sadanand spoke as follows:
“Good evening, everyone. My name is Sadanand. This is my first film and my first experience on stage.”
First, I would like to thank everyone who watched and supported the trailer.
I must first thank Director Harish for this opportunity. I have known him for the past three and a half years, and I have been part of this story’s journey from the very beginning. One day, he suddenly called and asked, “There is a character in this script; would you like to play it?” I agreed immediately. That is how my journey in this film began.
I had a personal coach to help me with my acting. Before filming began, I spent a week practicing and memorizing my lines to prepare. However, on the set, there were times when new dialogues were given to me. I had to memorize and perform them within just a few minutes. Although it was challenging, it turned out to be an excellent experience.
Arjun Das sir was very supportive while acting alongside me. He created an environment where I, as a new actor, felt comfortable. I am grateful to him for that.
Working with senior artists like Imman Annachi sir and Yogi Babu anna was also an unforgettable experience. Yogi Babu anna was always kind and encouraging, which boosted my self-confidence.
Every day spent working on this film was a new lesson for me. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Director Harish and the entire film crew for giving me this opportunity.
Just as you supported the trailer, I request you to watch the movie in theaters and show your support. My thanks go to all the journalists, friends in the media, and fans. Thank you.”
Child artist Akilan spoke as follows:
“Hello everyone. My name is Akilan. I have played a very interesting character in the movie ‘Gone City.’ I hope you like the character. Please watch the movie and share your feedback.
My heartfelt thanks to Director Harish Uncle for giving me this opportunity.” “I also wish to express my gratitude to all the actors and technicians who worked on this film. I request everyone to watch the movie in theaters and extend their support. Thank you.”
Speaking on behalf of Maali & Manvi Movie Makers, producer Sidhu Nair said:
“Good evening to everyone. First, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the journalists and media friends present at this event.
Many people here mentioned today that this film marks their debut experience. Similarly, this is my first experience as a co-producer. Although our company operates within the film industry, this was the first time I personally listened to a screenplay and decided to invest in it.
One day, I heard about Director Harish through my team. They told me he was developing a film and looking for a co-producer. I went to meet him. It was the first time in my life that I was going to listen to a full screenplay narration.
We visited his office at night. Harish began narrating the story. He took about 45 minutes just to tell the first half. I asked him, ‘Shall we discuss the budget and financial aspects now?’ But he replied, ‘There is still the second half. Let’s talk after hearing that too.’
They say that in negotiations, one shouldn’t reveal too much enthusiasm. However, I was deeply captivated by the story. Even though it was my first time experiencing a screenplay narration, I could sense the depth of the story. I was greatly impressed by the clarity of Harish’s vision and his confidence in the story.
In particular, the fact that he was involved in the film not just as a director but also as a producer demonstrated his faith in his own creation. That gave me the confidence to proceed as well. That night, we shook hands and decided to embark on this journey together.” Afterward, a question lingered in my mind: “He narrates the story so well, but can he successfully translate that vision onto the screen?” However, that doubt vanished completely when I visited the shooting spot. The energy, discipline, dedication, and professional approach I witnessed there instilled great confidence in me.
At that very moment, I became convinced that this film would be a success. Later, when I watched the preview footage, I was truly amazed; the film surpassed all my expectations.
This movie has been crafted with excellent content. Journalists and friends from the media play a crucial role in taking such films to the public. You hold immense power in shaping a film’s future. Therefore, I earnestly request you to watch this movie and convey its quality to the audience. I am confident that fans will enjoy watching this film in theaters. Once again, to everyone…
I express my gratitude. Thank you.”
Arun Prajith Manoharan, Producer at Klout Studios, spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. Many journalists and media friends already know me. For the past several years, I have worked as an Executive Producer and handled production management responsibilities in films. I have extensive experience in various roles related to actors and film production.
I had long harbored a desire to produce a film. One night, Harish contacted me and asked to meet. Initially, I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to listen to a story narration. I told him, ‘I won’t listen to a narration; just give me the script to read.’ However, that meeting marked the beginning of this film.
After Harish narrated the full story, I immediately set aside my other plans and said, ‘I am on board for this film.’ That is how deeply the story captivated me.
The film’s greatest strength is its relatability to everyone’s life. Money is an inescapable part of human existence, and the film addresses this subject in a very engaging manner. I believe this story will easily connect with audiences.
I rarely visited the set during filming because I had immense faith in Harish. That confidence grew manifold after I saw the preview footage. I became certain that this film would be a massive success.
Arjun Das and I have been friends for about twelve years. We met long before the movie Kaithi and dreamed of making great films together. It brings me joy to join forces on a project like Gone City as part of that journey. This film will be a crucial milestone in Arjun Das’s career. Fans will see a completely new side of Arjun Das—one they haven’t witnessed before. I am confident that this film will bring him tremendous success.” Vadivukkarasi Amma, Akilan, Aruldoss, Sadanand, and the entire cast have delivered stellar performances. The efforts of the technical crew—including cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, art director Rajkamal, and editor Arul Moses—have further elevated the film’s quality.
Music composer Sean Roldan and lyricist Mohan Rajan have collaborated to create wonderful songs; each track is unique and memorable.
‘Con City’ is an entertaining film suitable for the whole family, offering elements that appeal to audiences of all ages. Moreover, the story easily connects with people by reflecting various issues relevant to today’s society.
You have always supported films with strong content, and we are confident that you will extend the same support to this movie. I earnestly request everyone to support ‘Con City,’ which releases in theaters on June 26th. Thank you all.”
Muthukumar Ayyappan of Delta Studios spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. First, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to director Harish. We felt very confident after watching the film; in fact, our belief in the movie was fully cemented the very morning after the preview screening.
We were deeply impressed by Harish’s hard work and the film’s quality. I request everyone to support this movie. Thank you.” This is the speech delivered by music composer Sean Roldan.
Music composer Sean Roldan said:
“Greetings to everyone. I am delighted to meet all the journalists and friends from the media. Before speaking about ‘Con City’, I feel I must first speak about director Harish.
Generally, I am a person who gets very tense; the mere thought of a film release makes me anxious. However, when Harish first spoke to me about ‘Con City’, I harbored the same doubts as everyone else. I wondered, ‘Can this actually be done? Can such a massive dream be realized?’
But for the first time in my life, I met a director who delivered exactly what he promised. The confidence with which he narrated the story was reflected perfectly on screen—not a single detail had changed. He executed his vision exactly as he had described it. I wholeheartedly appreciate Harish for that.
Harish stepped into this venture not just as a director, but by investing his own money to realize his dream. Dreaming is easy, but striving to make that dream a reality by staking one’s own money, life, and time is incredibly difficult. That courage truly inspired me. To me, Harish is more than just a friend; he is an inspiration.
I have witnessed the journey of this film from the very beginning. Standing on this stage and watching the trailer evokes deep emotion in me, because I know the countless sleepless nights and struggles that lie behind those smiles.”
Arjun Das is a key reason for the film turning out the way it has. He naturally possesses the gravitas and commanding presence required for this story. Working with him made me realize something: while there are many talented people in this industry, only a few carve out a unique niche for themselves. That distinction stems from their conscience and integrity—qualities Arjun possesses in abundance. I believe this film will cement that next big step in his career.
Anna Ben is a wonderful artist. Vadivukkarasi Amma is a legend; as someone who loves 80s Tamil cinema, working with her was a sheer delight. Every scene she appears in carries a distinct weight and significance.
As for Yogi Babu, I believe he possesses a divine gift. Whether it is a child or an adult, the mere sight of him brings a smile to people’s faces—and that is no small feat. I have heard firsthand about the struggles he endured to reach this position; his journey is truly inspiring.
Everyone involved in this film—from the youngest child actor to Aruldass sir, Imman Annachi, and Sadanand—has poured their heart and soul into it. It is that very dedication that has breathed life into the music and the world we’ve created.
Collaborating with lyricist Mohan Rajan on this film was a remarkable experience. There are two songs yet to be released, and I take immense pride in them. We shared a desire to revive the soul of the philosophical songs found in classic Tamil cinema—a vision Harish initiated. The two songs that emerged from this idea hold a very special place in my musical journey.
I have been composing music for Tamil cinema for thirteen years, yet I feel a unique sense of pride regarding these two songs. That pride belongs equally to Mohan Rajan and Harish. “I must make special mention of Vijay. He is a unique individual. Going beyond his own personal interests, he has stepped forward to do many good things for the entire film industry. Wherever he is, he spreads happiness and positivity. He possesses a truly pure heart and acts with noble intentions. Working with him was a delightful experience, and I am happy to be working with him again.
‘Con City’ will bring laughter, joy, and satisfaction to the audience. At the same time, it will prompt reflection on the society we live in. It is a film that combines entertainment with a meaningful message. ‘Con City’ is not just an ordinary movie; it is the result of the dreams, hard work, and faith of many people. The film releases in theaters on June 26th. I urge everyone to come with their families, watch the movie, and show their support. Thank you.” Actress Vadivukkarasi said:
“My greetings to all the journalists and friends from the media. I am delighted to see you all here for this film. If the film crew lit the lamp named ‘Con City,’ the responsibility of shining its light brightly among the public belongs to the media. I am confident that you will fulfill that responsibility excellently.
When Director Harish approached me for this role, he spoke with great honesty. He openly admitted, ‘I didn’t write this character with you specifically in mind, but I feel it would be a perfect fit if you played it now.’ I really appreciated that honesty.
Afterward, I sat in his office and listened to the entire story. He narrated it with immense passion and emotion for over two hours. As soon as I heard the story, I decided I absolutely had to be a part of this film.
Everyone on the set belonged to the younger generation, yet they all displayed great dedication and a professional attitude. Consequently, the filming process was a joyful experience. I truly enjoyed working alongside this new generation of filmmakers.
Working with everyone, including Yogi Babu and Arjun Das, was an unforgettable experience. I was particularly impressed by Arjun Das’s dedication and hard work; I believe he will reach great heights through this film.
Director Harish was incredibly clear and organized throughout the shoot. His confidence and determination are the film’s greatest strengths. Every day spent working on this project was a pleasant experience for me. The entire team worked together like a family, and I believe that is why the film has turned out so well.
I acted in this film despite facing health issues. In fact, I had to be admitted to the hospital the very day after filming wrapped up. I can never forget the care and concern the crew showed me during that time.
Arjun Das,” Yogi Babu and all the young artists in the film crew conducted themselves with great warmth and respect. Especially…
Arjun Das always provided the help I needed and looked after me with great care.
Everyone who acted in this film worked incredibly hard. From the outside, things might appear easy, but there is immense effort and dedication behind the scenes. Audiences will see the fruits of that labor on screen.
Director Harish and his brother Bharath possess years of experience. They have fully utilized the expertise gained from working with various production houses in the making of this film. That is why the movie has been crafted in such a well-planned manner.
I loved this film from the very day I heard the story. The two-hour storytelling experience completely captivated me. I believe the audience will experience that same feeling in theaters.
‘ Con City’ is not merely an entertaining film; while it makes people laugh and feel happy, it also conveys a meaningful message and raises social awareness. It includes elements that prompt reflection on aspects of life such as money, desire, and the decisions we make.
Watching this film will allow the audience to forget their worries and enjoy themselves for two hours, while also taking away a positive message. I wholeheartedly wish for this film to achieve massive success, rewarding the hard work of Director Harish and the entire crew. Thank you.”
Actor Yogi Babu spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Director Harish, the producers, and the entire film crew for giving me the opportunity to act in this movie.
I share a great friendship with Arjun Das and have been working with him consistently. I often joke that if a hero has a good friend, he doesn’t even need a heroine; that is how close our bond is.
I have known Harish for many years, not just recently. “I have witnessed his hard work and dedication to cinema ever since the days we worked together on various films. He had expressed his desire to become a director years ago; even back then, I told him, ‘You absolutely must become a director.’
It brings me great joy to see him emerge as a director now and receive such praise from everyone. This is just the beginning. I wholeheartedly wish for him to scale even greater heights by directing major films with leading actors.
Arjun Das has put immense effort into this film. His dedication and professional approach always impress me. Working with him again was a delightful experience.
The entire team worked together like a family. On the set, everyone supported one another and worked hard to ensure the film turned out brilliantly. That unity is the film’s greatest strength.
The cinematographer, music composer, art director, costume designer, and assistant directors have all contributed their best. The results of their hard work will be clearly visible on screen.
I sincerely hope this film becomes a success. ‘Gone City’ promises to be an excellent entertainer that audiences—and families—will enjoy. I urge everyone to come to the theaters and show their support.
Once again, I thank all the artists, technicians, producers, journalists, and media friends who worked on this film. I wish ‘Gone City’ grand success. Thank you.”
Actress Anna Ben spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. I am trying to speak in Tamil; please forgive me if I make any mistakes. First, I would like to express my gratitude to all the journalists and media friends attending this event and supporting the film ‘Con City’.
This is my second Tamil film.” The love and appreciation you showed for my portrayal of Meena in the film ‘Kottukkaali’ served as a tremendous source of encouragement for me. In the film ‘Gone Citty’, I have played a role that is the exact opposite of Meena.
I felt quite nervous when director Harish first described this character to me. It was a role that required me to explore a new dimension of acting—something I hadn’t done before. The acting style, the mode of expression, and the scope of the character were completely different, making it a significant challenge for me.
Although I had heard many commercial story pitches previously, I had always hesitated, wondering how I would fit into that world. However, Harish placed immense faith in me. He kept encouraging me, saying, “You can do this. It will be unique and unlike anything anyone expects.” That confidence gave me the courage to take on the role.
What I admired most about Harish was his unwavering conviction. No matter what challenges arose or doubts surfaced on the set, he…
He always faced it with calmness and confidence. His love and dedication to cinema deeply impressed me.
The effort he put into making this film was immense. From the day production began until the June 26th release, he was determined to deliver the best at every stage—be it the songs, advertisements, promotions, or the release itself. I offer him my heartfelt congratulations and gratitude for this.
I had tried to collaborate with Arjun Das several times, and that finally happened with this film. Everyone knows he is a talented actor, but as a person, he is incredibly humble and kind. On set, he treated everyone with equal respect and was highly cooperative.
Vadivukkarasi Ma’am is a legend; working with her was a dream come true for me. The experiences shared by veteran artists always serve as valuable lessons for me. During the shoot, she spent a lot of time with me, sharing her experiences. She also helped me overcome my initial fear of delivering Tamil dialogues.
As for Yogi Babu Sir, I think he has extended my lifespan by ten years because he constantly keeps everyone laughing. Whether in the middle of a scene or behind the camera, everything he says makes us laugh. Working with him was a truly delightful experience.
Akilan plays my son on screen; he is a very talented and affectionate boy. The experience of working with Foxy and the other artists was also wonderful. Everyone involved in this film was incredibly supportive of me.
Music composer Sean Roldan’s music has been a tremendous strength for this film. Additionally, this is the first time I have danced on screen, and for that, I owe special thanks to Santhosh Master. He encouraged me by confidently teaching me challenging dance moves.
I urge everyone to watch the movie ‘Gone City’ in theaters and support it. Thank you all for attending this event and for your continued support.”
Actor Arjun Das spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. First, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Director Harish. Right from the beginning, he has steered this project with clear planning, immense confidence, and determination. The dedication, hard work, and self-belief he has demonstrated as a director are truly commendable.
The producers have made a tremendous effort to take this film to the audience on such a grand scale. I am delighted by the extensive promotional work they have done—covering the entire city with posters, banners, and advertisements. I extend my gratitude to all the producers for this.
I also thank Abihimsa Films and Delta Studios for partnering in the release, as well as everyone who has supported the film. My thanks go to those who have already watched and appreciated the movie.
‘Con City’ is a film that can be enjoyed with family, friends, and relatives. It features a blend of emotions and humor, alongside a beautiful, heart-touching story.
Every actor in this film has delivered a stellar performance. The contributions of Anna Ben, Vadivukkarasi Amma, Yogi Babu, Aruldoss, and all the other artists have been a massive strength to the movie.
Music composer Sean Roldan has provided wonderful music. The hard work of the technical crew has also elevated the quality of the film.
I am confident that everyone will like this movie. Please come to the theaters with confidence.” I am confident that you will return home happily after watching the movie. I would like to express my gratitude once again to all the senior artists, technicians, and the entire film crew who worked with me on this project.
Please continue to extend your support to the film ‘Khan City’. Thank you, everyone.”
Director Harish Durairaj spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone. First, there are two very important people I must thank on this stage: Guna ‘Pro’ (Post Office) and Vijay ‘Pro’ (Silver Tree Studios). Without them, neither the company ‘Powerhouse Pictures’ nor the film ‘Khan City’ would have come into existence. They have stood by me and offered their steadfast support from the very beginning.
In the realm of cinema, my constant prayer to God is to be surrounded by good people. In that spirit, I extend my heartfelt thanks to my producers, partners, friends, and family.
The co-producers, distributors, audio rights holders, and OTT rights holders have all placed immense faith in this film. This journey would not have been possible without their support.
I would also like to personally thank my technical team…”
I must mention the technical team. Cinematographer Foxy, editor Arul Moses, art director Raj, music composer Sean Roldan, choreographer Santhosh, and the entire technical crew have been the backbone of this film. Their hard work is the reason we were able to complete the movie in just 55 days.
The collaboration between lyricist Mohan Rajan and music composer Sean Roldan has been a tremendous strength for this film. All seven songs in the movie are very special to me; I believe the audience will particularly enjoy the tracks that haven’t been released yet.
As for the cast, everyone has contributed their best. Vadivukkarasi Amma’s performance is being praised by everyone who has seen the film; casting her in this role was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions of my life.
Anna Ben has delivered an outstanding performance; her character will truly surprise the audience. Similarly, Yogi Babu has been a source of immense personal support for me. He is the one who constantly encouraged me to direct a film over the past five years. I will never forget the cooperation he extended for this project.
Likewise, ‘Con City’ would not have happened had Arjun Das sir not agreed to be a part of it. He has acted with great dedication and finesse. I believe this film will mark a significant milestone in his career.
Finally, I want to thank my family and friends. I must extend special thanks to my wife; she believed in me and married me back when I was earning a salary of just ten thousand rupees a month. For the past five years, she has stood by me in pursuit of my dream and endured all the hardships along the way. Her support is a major reason why I am standing on this stage today.
‘Con City’ is set to release on June 26th. I earnestly request you to watch the film in theaters with your families and support it. “Thank you, everyone.”
