Produced by Swastik Visions and starring debutant actor K.J.R. as the protagonist, the film “Angigaaram” had already garnered praise from fans upon the release of its trailer; now, the film’s first single has been released and has captured significant attention.
Composed by Ghibran and titled ‘Contempt of Time’, this song—which begins with the lines “Satta Satta Satta Saandrorae”—was penned by Karthik Netha. Crafted with powerful themes that question both the legal system and society, the track has been rendered by the renowned artist Vaikom Vijayalakshmi in her deeply emotive voice. Every single line of the song tugs at the heartstrings, stirring our emotions and planting within us numerous questions regarding life, justice, and the quest for recognition.
Based on several real-life incidents and centered around the world of athletics, the film “Angigaaram” addresses the hardships faced by athletes and sheds light on the hidden injustices prevalent within the sports industry. The previously released trailer, which emotionally portrays the story of an athlete fighting all the way to the courts to secure the recognition he deserves, has already generated immense anticipation among fans. It is noteworthy that for this film, a court complex set was constructed at a cost of approximately ₹75 lakhs—designed to replicate the appearance of a real courthouse—where key scenes were subsequently filmed. Thanks to high-quality visuals and a robust storyline, anticipation surrounding the film continues to rise.
In the film Angigaaram, K.J.R makes his debut as the lead protagonist. He is joined by a stellar supporting cast featuring Viji Venkatesh, Ajith Koshy, Sindhuri Viswanath, Anthony, Rangaraj Pandey, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mohanram, and many others in pivotal roles.
Thenpathiyan, who previously served as an assistant director under Pa. Ranjith, has directed this film. While Ghibran has composed the music, A. Viswanath has handled the cinematography. Peter Hein choreographed the stunt sequences, while Dinesh Kumar oversaw the film’s editing. Additional strengths are added to the film through the contributions of Ramu Thangaraj (Art Direction), Sampath Alwar (Sound Design), and Sheriff (Choreography).
