This is possibly one of the best movies of the season on the counts of script, direction as well as performance!
Set in an era wherein Muslim families lived together with weaving clothes using threads inside the confines of their respective homes, the screenplay sketches the plight and predicament of families suffering from poverty owing to which the male members go abroad to work and earn money for the family ‘s sustenance!
They struggle and slog there while their wives and children await their arrival , longing for their presence!
With a cast that is perfectly set , the film offers an experience as though we witness the happenings in a Muslim neighborhood that practices cordiality with their Hindu counterparts!
Sam C. S.’s music and the top angle shots of Mahesh Muthusami are two supporting pillars that scale up the proceedings.
Meera Kadiravan the writer and Director needs a pat on his back for his brilliant handling of the sequences.
