A Man of Great Achievements
Sri Thenandal Murali Expresses Deep Condolences on the Passing of Bharathiraja
Sri Thenandal Murali (N. Ramasamy), former President of the Tamil Film Producers Council, has issued a condolence message regarding the passing of Bharathiraja. He stated, “Bharathiraja was a man who rose from the soil of a village to prove that ordinary people can achieve greatness and reach the pinnacle of success through thoughtful action.
His cinematic creations always reflected the realities of life.
He was a filmmaker who introduced newcomers and helped producers thrive.
Many directors have achieved success by regarding him as their mentor.
His cinematic journey began in 1977 with the film 16 Vayathinile. His works earned him both Central and State government awards.
His vision led to films that challenged social ills, and he firmly believed that realism should play a pivotal role in cinema.
Every one of his films will endure across generations.
He was instrumental in establishing the Tamil Film Producers Council and served as its President.
He excelled in various roles—as an actor, producer, director, and distributor.
Bharathiraja delivered films that fiercely attacked and sought to eradicate the evils of the caste system.
He directed 46 films and brought a new dimension to storytelling and dialogue writing.
On behalf of my company and in my capacity as a former President of the Tamil Film Producers Council, I express my deepest condolences on the passing of Bharathiraja.”
