“Angeegaram” Movie – A Celebration of Gratitude!
A celebratory event was held for the movie “Angeegaram,” which has received a warm reception from both fans and critics during its opening week. The film crew met with the press to express their heartfelt thanks for the support and appreciation shown to the movie. They also shared interesting details regarding the filmmaking process, the audience’s response, and the reasons behind the film’s success.
Speaking at the event, actor Antony said:
“The dialogues in ‘Angeegaram’ were truly wonderful; it was a joy to hear them. The lead actor has a knack for choosing good scripts, and it is delightful to see him starring in a sports-themed film.
This movie powerfully portrays the struggles and challenges faced by athletes in rural areas. Everyone involved in sports, in particular, should definitely watch this film; it will undoubtedly serve as an inspiration to them.
Furthermore, Ghibran’s background score and songs have been a major strength for the film. Stunt director Peter Hein has brilliantly choreographed the sports and action sequences. I also appreciate the cinematographer’s work and thank all the artists and the technical crew involved. ‘Angeegaram’ is a film that shouldn’t be missed; I urge everyone to watch it in theaters and extend their full support. Thank you.”
Speaking at the event, actress Isabella said:
“‘Angeegaram’ has given me my first real identity. I have never taken the stage to speak before, so I am very happy to be doing so now. My thanks go to Director Siva and all the producers for this opportunity.
The director placed great faith in me and helped me gain recognition through this film. KJR Sir made the acting process very comfortable for me. I am also grateful for the character name ‘Thangamayil’ given to me in the movie. I absolutely loved Ghibran Sir’s music.” “It is an honor to have worked with an artist like him. The cinematographer encouraged me throughout the shoot. It was a pleasure working with the entire cast and crew, including stunt master Peter Hein. I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone—including the editor—who presented me so beautifully on screen.”
Actress Vasundhara said,
“My thanks to all the journalists and fans who have consistently supported the film Angeekaram. This film is based on true events. Director Thenpathiyan has conveyed a significant message in a realistic manner, without resorting to unnecessary cinematic exaggerations.
I am delighted to be a part of this film. KJR has worked incredibly hard for this role; his transformation and dedication were truly impressive. Working with Peter Hein Master was an unforgettable experience. Ghibran Sir’s music is, as always, magnificent.
Young producers Arun, Prashanth, and Ajith have created this film out of faith in a significant story. Only if films like this succeed will more such quality movies be made. Please give this film a place in your hearts and continue to support it. Thank you.”
Music Director Ghibran said,
“The reviews and support from the press for Angeekaram are vital to us; I thank everyone for that. Whether as a producer or an actor, KJR consistently chooses stories with social responsibility. His next film will also address a similarly important theme.
It is very difficult to naturally portray human emotions within a story, yet Director Thenpathiyan has achieved this brilliantly across every character. The writing, in particular, is very strong. Your support is essential for the continued creation of such quality films. I urge you to keep supporting the movie into its second week and help take it to a wider audience. Thank you.” Stunt director Peter Hein said:
“I was delighted by the appreciation and honest reviews the press gave the film Angeekaram. I had faith in the debutant lead actor, K.J.R., right from the start. The hard work, physical transformation, and dedication he invested in this film were extraordinary; he worked extremely hard to appear authentic on screen as an athlete.
The film is the result of the hard work put in by director Thenpathiyan, K.J.R., the producers, and the entire crew. They have realistically portrayed the lives of athletes and the challenges they face, and I commend the director for this.
We also conducted research and worked on this project for several months. Everyone involved worked with great dedication during the shoot.”
I was deeply impressed by the involvement of the three producers. The cinematographer has also done an excellent job. Angikaaram is an important film that everyone should watch. Thank you to everyone.”
Cinematographer A. Viswanath spoke as follows:
“Director Thenpathiyan always had a clear vision of the scenes beforehand. Even in challenging locations—despite the difficulties involved—he remained firm about filming right there. It was that conviction that made the visuals turn out so well.
Initially, I was apprehensive about working with stunt master Peter Hein on the sports sequences. He is a legend, yet from the first day to the last, he acted as a mentor and guide, explaining every scene in detail and offering immense support. His contribution was a key reason why the sports and action sequences turned out so brilliantly.
I was deeply moved when I watched the first screening of the film. I hugged the director and said, ‘We’ve won.’ Ghibran sir’s music proved to be a massive strength for the film. The positive coverage by journalists, which helped take the film to the public, gave us a tremendous boost.
The contributions of the actors and the entire technical crew—including the colorist and editor—were crucial to this success. This film has earned us all our first major recognition. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us.”
Editor Dinesh Kumar spoke as follows:
“First, I would like to thank all the journalists who supported the film Angikaaram. This project gave me the opportunity to work with the producers for the second time. I thank Director Thenpathiyan for placing his trust in me and giving me the chance to work on this film.
The cooperation from the entire technical team—including Ghibran, Peter Hein, Sampath Alwar, and A. Viswanath—was outstanding.” “A major strength of this film is that the sports sequences, in particular, feel natural and authentic rather than overly cinematic. Heartfelt thanks to everyone for your support.”
Director Thenpathiyan spoke as follows:
“The support you have shown for this film has been far greater than we anticipated. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my friends in the press for this.
I initially took this story to KGR Studios. At that time, we had pitched it to another major star, but it didn’t work out, so I moved on to a different project. Later, feeling that no one else could do justice to this story, I decided to pick it up again. That was when KGR said, ‘I will act in this film myself.’ We then launched the project with him in the lead. He put in tremendous effort for this role. My team and I worked extremely hard to ensure the protagonist was portrayed correctly and effectively; that effort clearly shines through in the film and is reflected in the reviews you have shared.
We had an excellent technical crew for this film. Ghibran sir provided wonderful music. When Peter Hein Master first heard the story, he asked, ‘Is this for this hero?’ However, after hearing the full narrative, he loved it and came on board. His involvement elevated the film to new heights. Every member of my technical team worked with great dedication. Everything we envisioned has been realized in this film. We hope the film continues to perform well in the coming weeks, and for that, we need your continued support. Thank you.” Producer Arul Murugan spoke as follows:
This is the debut film for Swastik Visions. Our lead actor, K.G. Sir, is here with us; he placed his trust in us and dedicated two years of hard work to this project. Before becoming a producer, I actually started my career working as his manager. Today, I stand on this stage as a producer, and for that, I am deeply grateful to you, Sir.
Next, I must mention J.P. Anna—the film’s director. We have been on this journey together from day one. We take great pride in having brought his writing and his vision to the screen. We have truly created a remarkable film. Our technical crew—including Master Peter Hein, Ghibran Anna, the cinematographer, and everyone else—has put in tremendous effort. We hope you will help take this film to the audience. Thank you.
Producer Ajith Bhaskar spoke as follows:
First, I would like to express my gratitude to the film’s director, Thenpathiyan (J.P.). He is the driving force behind this project. He conducted extensive research for this story, traveling to various locations and putting in immense effort to truly understand the life of a sportsperson.
Likewise, our producer and elder brother, K.J.R., extended his full support to this film.
Creating this film required a great deal of time and effort. Everyone on the set worked with immense dedication, and the technical team provided their full support.
The continued support from fans for the film “Angeekaram” has greatly encouraged the film crew. I request everyone to continue extending their full support to this movie. Thank you.
Producer and actor K.J.R. spoke as follows:
“First of all, I am delighted that people have purchased tickets and supported the film. This is due to the immense support provided not only by the press but also by YouTube channels and online media outlets. As an actor, this reception brings me not just 100 percent, but 1,000 percent happiness. I feel proud to stand here today as an actor.
This film isn’t a massive blockbuster; it is a moderate success. People I know—including theater owners—had remarked within my earshot that perhaps a different story should have been chosen or a different lead actor cast. However, the audience has now begun to embrace the film. The credit for this goes entirely to the director, Thenpathiyan; I simply executed his vision. The entire technical team worked exceptionally hard. Their livelihoods depend on this film’s success, so please extend your support to it.
In the next ten years, I will certainly succeed as a leading actor in Tamil cinema, and I will ensure success for these producers; I will not let them down. All the technicians involved in this film worked for me without prioritizing monetary gain. My thanks go to everyone, including Stunt Master Peter Hein and music director Ghibran. Please continue to support us. Thank you.”
Produced by Swasthik Visions, the film stars debutant K.J.R. as the lead and is directed by Thenpathiyan, a former assistant to Pa. Ranjith. Based on true events, the movie centers on the life journey of an athlete fighting for recognition and the legal battle he wages in pursuit of justice. The film features Viji Venkatesh, Ajit Koshy, Sindhuri Viswanath, Rangaraj Pandey, and Mansoor Ali Khan, among others, in key roles. Ghibran has composed the music, while A. Viswanath handled the cinematography. Peter Hein choreographed the action sequences; Dinesh Kumar handled the editing, Ramu Thangaraj the art direction, Sampath Alwar the sound design, and Sheriff the choreography.
The film is enjoying a successful run with houseful shows, thanks to immense public support.
