‘Arjunan Per Pathu’ is the 300th film starring Yogi Babu and is set to release on July 17th.
The film is written and directed by R. Rajmohan.
Alongside Yogi Babu, the cast includes Anamika Mahi, Kaali Venkat, Arul Das, Lenin Bharathi, Subramaniam Siva, Myna Nandhini, Madhan Dakshinamoorthy, Sendrayan, Hello Kandasamy, M. Soundarya Saravanan, Ranjan Kumar, and others. D. Imman has composed the music, while Pradeep Kaliraja handled the cinematography and Mu. Kasi Viswanathan handled the editing. Karthik Netha wrote the lyrics, and M.R. Arun Chandar penned the dialogues. B. Sekar oversaw the art direction, and Om Prakash choreographed the stunt sequences. Lahari Music holds the audio rights.
The film is produced by Krithika Thangapandi S. and Thangapandi D. on behalf of Dev Cinemas.

The launch event for the film’s trailer and songs was held successfully at the Prasad Lab theatre.
Many special guests, along with the film’s crew, attended the event. Speaking at the event, the film’s lead actor Yogi Babu said:
“Greetings to everyone. I want to thank the producer Thangapandi Sir, Keerthika Madam, and Director Rajmohan for giving me the opportunity to work on this film.
I am not sure how they figured out that this is my 300th film, but I don’t think we should set a limit for ourselves based on a number like this.
The number 300 isn’t enough for me. As an actor, one shouldn’t simply pat oneself on the back based on a specific count; that figure is something to be mentioned only at the end of one’s career.
I aspire to grow significantly and act in as many films as legends like Nagesh Sir and Manorama Amma did; I wish to reach that level of achievement. I also want to thank Centrayan, who acted in this film. I don’t think I did anything major—like crying—in this movie.
Next, a big thank you to Myna and to the heroine, Anamika.
I acted alongside Nayanthara back in 2016, so I have no worries about who I need to act with next. I don’t fret over which heroine I might work with; for me, the story is what matters, not the heroine.
Imman Sir is a music director I really admire. He spoke appreciatively of me, but I have always admired him as well. When Prabhu Solomon Sir and I were working on the film Membo, we would constantly talk about him, and Prabhu Solomon Sir would speak of him with great pride.
I hope to have him compose the music for films where I play the lead role; I would really like you to do that for me. I made a request regarding this film, and he kindly obliged. Thank you very much, Sir. Kali Venkat is a good friend of mine; he came immediately when I called. If he were to ask me to act in even just two scenes in a film where he plays the lead, I would gladly do it. Many thanks to Nithilan for coming here. I have known the film’s director, Rajmohan, for a long time.
My grandfather’s ancestral village is near Arcot, though we were all born and raised in Chennai. It is a misconception that the film industry is difficult only for those coming from outside; it is equally challenging for those born in Chennai.
We are all Chennaiites. I have realized this through my 24 years of experience.
You are familiar with Yogi (2009). Before that, I worked on shows across various channels—like Lollu Sabha—and collaborated with many people. I even worked as an assistant to an art director; I took on many such roles. If one wants to grow, one has to do these things. All those experiences contributed to my growth.
I must mention Rajmohan here.
One day, Rajmohan came to me and pitched a story idea, but then he disappeared for a while. Three years ago, while I was at my office, I suddenly wondered what Rajmohan was up to. I called him immediately and asked what he was doing. He mentioned he was working on a project, so I told him to come over so we could make a movie. We met after that, and that is how this film began. I am ready to help many such assistant directors; please come with good stories and execute them well. Once again, thank you to everyone who gave me this opportunity.”
After his speech, while interacting with the press, he was asked whom he wished to act with. He replied, “Kamal Sir is the only one I haven’t acted with yet. I hope to act with him soon.” — Yogi Babu.
He remarked:
“Devotion to the Divine is the reason I have appeared in nearly 300 films. It is Lord Murugan—whom I worship—who is responsible for this. I have immense faith in Lord Murugan.
No matter which frame I appear in, people view me primarily as a comedian. Comedy roles are what put food on my table; satisfying that aspect is my priority, so I will not stop doing them. While I am occasionally cast in lead roles in some films, for the most part, I continue my career as a comedian. I am grateful to the fans who support me. I owe them more through my films, and I will certainly deliver.”
Earlier in the event, producer Thangapandi welcomed the gathering.
Special guests—including directors Suseenthiran, Nithilan, and Shaan; the film’s director R. Rajmohan; music composer Imman; cinematographer Pradeep Kaliraja; and actors Anamika, Myna Nandhini, Aruldoss, Kaali Venkat, Lenin Bharathi, Subramaniam Siva, and Sendrayan—participated and spoke at the event.
At the conclusion of the event, the trailer and songs were released.
To mark the occasion of his 300th film, the producer honored the lead actor, Yogi Babu, by adorning him with a giant garland. The celebration also included a cake-cutting ceremony.
