‘All Pass’ – Audio and Trailer Launch Event!
The audio and trailer launch for the film ‘All Pass’, directed by Mydeen, took place today in a grand manner. Produced by Mohana R. of One Step Entertainment, the film centers on the realistic lives of the people of North Chennai.
Mydeen has written the story, screenplay, and dialogues, in addition to directing the film.
Dushyanth, known for films like ‘Nirangal Moondru’ and ‘Tharunam’, plays the male lead. Janani, who gained fame through the ‘Bigg Boss’ show and played a key role in the movie ‘Leo’, stars as the female lead in this film.
Film celebrities joined the cast and crew at today’s event to offer their best wishes.
Speaking at the event, producer Mohana said:
“I am capable of standing before a camera and acting. However, standing before an audience to speak makes me feel very nervous and shaky. Please forgive me for that. I thank all the dignitaries who have come here to wish us well.
This film is truly very important to us. I request all of you to watch the movie and extend your support. Please watch the film and give us your backing. Thank you.”
Director Mydeen said:
“I thank everyone who attended this event today—Mr. R.V. Udhayakumar, Director Vikraman, and my brother Mansoor Ali Khan.
Cinematographer M.S. Prabhu Sir worked on this film for just a few days. Despite being a senior figure in the industry, he stepped in to help us for those few days when we faced difficulties; I offer him my deepest gratitude.” In the film industry, the struggles of assistant directors often go unrecognized; they only gain an identity when they finally secure an opportunity—a chance that many are still waiting for. When I approached Dushyanth to act in this film, he said his father would have the final say. At the time, I didn’t realize that Jayaprakash Sir was his father. I met Jayaprakash Sir and narrated the entire story; I shared the full script because I knew he was a producer who would understand the challenges involved and offer advice with genuine concern.
After hearing the story, he asked who was playing the character of ‘Azhagar’. I told him I had considered him for the role but hesitated because I thought his remuneration might be too high for the budget; however, he stepped forward saying, “Remuneration is not an issue; I will act in it.” I am deeply grateful to him for that gesture.
I approached James Vasanthan Sir with similar hesitation. He said he would commit only if he liked the story. After reading it, he asked, “Will you make the film exactly as it is written?” When I assured him I would, he immediately agreed to compose the music. My thanks go to him as well.
This film became a reality thanks to the support of such remarkable individuals. One must never stop pursuing one’s vision. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my producer, Mohana Madam. “I didn’t know much about this film’s team initially. When the director visited my office, he extended an invitation to me, just as he had to Director Cheran. I asked, ‘Who is the hero?’ and was told it was actor Jayaprakash’s son.
I have a bond with actor Jayaprakash spanning about 30 years. I was the one who transitioned him from being an actor to a producer; we are that close.
I watched the trailer and songs of this film; they were very good. I wish great success to all the technicians and actors who worked on this project.
The film’s music composer, James Vasanthan, is currently directing a movie himself. The first look of that film was also beautiful and impressive. I extend my best wishes to him as well. I sincerely hope ‘All Pass’ becomes a huge success.”
Actor Mansoor Ali Khan said:

Film crew members should be promoted just as prominently as the stars are in advertisements; this practice must be strictly followed. Tamil Nadu has gained a great lead actor and actress through this film, and the songs are excellent. Mohan Rajan is writing wonderful lyrics. I performed a dance sequence for the climax of the movie Karuppu, but it was completely cut out—what an injustice! They promised to release it on YouTube but never did. Suriya and Karthi are big stars, and I wish them well, but let us thrive too. I have been an actor and producer for many years; I deserve fair treatment.
Just look at this: people immediately take to WhatsApp and other media platforms to write negative things about us. Whether they give us work or not, they sit around badmouthing us—claiming things like, “Your son smokes ganja” or “He’s a madman.”
No matter what good work I do, they will belittle and disparage it. There are wretched, spiteful people roaming the country whose only job is to tarnish reputations; they just keep spouting nonsense.
“All Pass” is a wonderful title. I thank everyone involved in promoting this film. In particular, every technician and crew member deserves respect.
The hard work of every technician is vital. I respect everyone working in cinema, including those in advertising and media. This is my home, my life, and my cinema. It is enough for every technician to simply do their job sincerely; no one’s hard work should ever be undervalued. “Thank you, greetings, and best wishes,” he said.

Tamil cinema often portrays North Chennai with an image of aggression and violence. However, the reality is that many people there lead very natural, simple lives. It is commendable that this film has captured that lifestyle.
In particular, shooting for 45 days in challenging locations—such as narrow streets and areas with heavy traffic congestion—is no small feat. The crew successfully overcame these challenges to create the film.

During that period, when I knew nothing about the film industry, Sasikumar sir was a great source of inspiration for me.

Actor Jayaprakash spoke as follows:
“There is a specific reason why I chose my character in this film. When the director came to narrate the story, he told the entire tale. He beautifully described every single character in the story. There was one particular character that I really liked, and I decided that I had to play it. The director asked in surprise, ‘Will you act in it?’
I replied, ‘I came here to act, didn’t I? I will certainly do it.’ That is how much I liked the character.
Director Mydeen has crafted this film in a very natural way. There was no difference between the story I heard initially and the film I saw later during the dubbing process. Whether it is the dialogues spoken or the houses shown, everything remains true to that specific way of life.
Centering on three characters—a cook, a painter, and a bicycle shop owner—the film captures very natural aspects of their lives, including their families, children, and the joys and conflicts that occur between them. This is what I liked most about the film.
Many actors, including Sarath sir who has vast experience in cinema, have played important roles in this film. Their performances were excellent. In particular, the contribution of everyone involved in this film is praiseworthy.
The songs and music have turned out beautifully. In some scenes, the music elevates the emotional impact of the moment. I am happy that James Vasanthan sir, who composed music for films like Pasanga and Easan, has composed the music for this film as well.
Instead of merely showing a specific part of North Chennai, this film captures the authentic lives of the people there. They have portrayed—simply and naturally—how the people of North Chennai live, how they speak, and the nature of the friendships among the children.

The film features Jayaprakash, Senthikumari, director Subramania Siva, Vinodhini, Prasanna Balachandran, Mohana R., Sathya, Sanjay, Gokul, and Nikhil in key roles.
Sarath Lohitashwa, known for films like Pandiya Naadu and Ethir Neechal, plays the villain in this movie. Roshan Basheer (who played the antagonist in Papanasam) and Aruvi Madhan (who played the PT master in Bison) also feature in key roles.
