‘Pyaar Prema Kaadhal’ Trailer Launch Event!
The trailer launch event for the film Pyaar Prema Kaadhal—which marks the debut of director Elan as a lead actor—took place today in the presence of the film’s crew. Produced by Rise East Entertainment, the film features music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Film personalities joined the crew at today’s trailer launch event to offer their best wishes.
Speaking at the event…
Director Vetrimaaran said:
“It takes a great deal of courage to transition from being an actor to a director, or vice versa. Elan possesses that courage. I offer my heartfelt wishes to him and his entire team. The trailer looks excellent; it promises a film filled with fun elements as well as intimate, personal moments. I hope everyone enjoys the movie and that it achieves great success. Once again, my best wishes to the film crew and Netflix.
Even in just these few minutes of the trailer, there were moments that made us laugh a lot. I am a very shy person, yet he once got me to act by telling me it would take only two shots—I was actually angry with him for that! Now, he has become an actor himself; I wish the film great success.” Actress Radhika said:
“First of all, I am delighted that this film is releasing on Netflix. What makes it even more special is that it releases on my birthday; it serves as a wonderful birthday gift for me, and I am truly happy about it.
This film presents a unique love story. At the same time, it cannot be classified merely as a ‘family film.’ It explores how mindsets and perspectives on life have shifted in today’s society and how individuals act in response to those changes.
Young people today, in particular, hold completely different views on love, marriage, and life. The film’s story revolves around how we understand their thoughts, accept them, and navigate these changes.
We have handled many aspects of the film with great honesty, resulting in an excellent final product. Director Elan has done a fantastic job directing and acting in it. I am certain everyone will like the movie.”
Actor Elango Kumaravel said:
“We have crafted the father-in-law character so beautifully that, upon watching the film, everyone will wish they had a father-in-law just like him. I believe this character will be well-loved by the audience. The director has utilized my skills effectively. I hope everyone enjoys the film. Thank you.” Actor Senthil said:
“When observing actor Elan’s performance and the character he portrays in this film, I am reminded of the movies of Bhagyaraj Sir. Elan’s performance evokes that same kind of character. Just like him, Elan has excelled in both screenwriting and direction. Seeing him, he struck me as another Bhagyaraj Sir.
Similarly, the heroine in this film comes across very naturally; both her appearance and her acting are very authentic. I really appreciated her work.
Since everyone involved in this film is a friend from my artistic family, I have high expectations for the movie. I watched the trailer, and the visuals are excellent. I wish for the film to turn out wonderfully. Thank you.”
Actor Yogi Babu said:
“Elan, first of all, thank you for giving me an opportunity in this film. I also extend my gratitude to everyone who worked on this project.
We have been in touch since the movie ‘Star’; Elan had told me, ‘Sir, we will definitely do a film together.’ He has now fulfilled that promise by casting me in this movie. I am very grateful to him for that.
We have another film coming up together. The concept for that one—centered around things like WhatsApp and YouTube that you often hear about—has turned out very well. Thank you for that, too. Many thanks. I express my gratitude to everyone.” Actress Shanvi Meghana said:
“To be honest, right from the beginning, I used to frequently ask Elan a particular question. I was amazed at how he could manage to both direct and act in a film simultaneously, as I didn’t have that kind of experience myself.
He would reply, ‘When I’m acting, I immerse myself completely in the scene. At the same time, I maintain a clear understanding of what needs to be done from a director’s perspective.’
Early on, we had a crucial, emotionally charged scene. He was quite nervous before filming it. I asked him, ‘Why are you so nervous?’ To that, he…”
He said, “As an actor, I try to adjust my expressions, but what constantly runs through my mind is the next scene that needs to be filmed.”
He never spoke to me about it again after that. However, observing his work throughout the film, I saw how easily he could switch between the roles of director and actor.
He possesses such excellent understanding and presence of mind. This is one of the most important things I learned from him during this journey. Furthermore, I have done the dubbing for this film entirely in Tamil. This movie is very close to my heart. I am certain that fans, just like us, will celebrate this film. Thank you.
Actor-Director Elan spoke as follows:
“This is a very important film for me; I have stepped in not just as a director but also as an actor. I have told a story that resonates with today’s youth. Stalwarts like Radhika ma’am and Senthil sir placed their trust in me and acted in this film; I extend my gratitude to them.
Most importantly, Yuvan sir has provided wonderful music. His music is a major strength of the film.” “The song ‘Atrocity’ is a personal favorite of mine. The way this song was crafted and the concept behind it are quite unique. Released as the first track from the film, ‘Atrocity’ has already received a warm reception from fans.
I don’t want to dampen the audience’s anticipation by revealing too much about the song or the movie right now. I want them to watch the film and relate the themes and events depicted in it to their own life experiences.
The journey of making this film has been a fascinating experience for me. We have paid meticulous attention to every detail. I hope everyone enjoys the movie. Thank you.”
Music Director Yuvan Shankar Raja spoke as follows:
“A trend that began with the film ‘Pyaar Prema Kaadhal’ is continuing here. Usually, only two or three songs are announced at the start of a project, yet by the time the film is complete, there might be 13 or 14 tracks. For ‘Pyaar Prema Kaadhal,’ we announced the entire tracklist right at the beginning, and we have followed the same approach for this film as well.
This has become something of a trend in my collaborations with Elan. The songs are being released continuously and are garnering a great response on social media.
The reactions from fans to this song have been overwhelmingly positive. I’ve been reading the comments, and it brings me great joy to see the love they are showing.
Furthermore, I have watched the entire film. It has turned out exceptionally well and serves as a fantastic entertainer—a movie that families can watch and enjoy together.
I believe this film will find a permanent place in fans’ playlists and will be the kind of movie people want to watch again and again. It has turned out beautifully.” Thank you, everyone.
Featuring a unique premise, the film centers on a situation where a husband moves into his wife’s family home because she does not wish to leave her parents after marriage. Through this setup, the film attempts to present a fresh perspective on married life, family relationships, romance, expectations, and the humorous incidents that arise from them.
Elan makes his debut not only as a director but also as the lead actor in this film. Starring alongside him as the female lead is Sanvi Meghna, with a supporting cast that includes Radhika Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, M.S. Bhaskar, Geetha Kailasam, Elango Kumaravel, Senthil, Maaran, and Deepz Cyrus.
With music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film’s songs and background score effectively enhance the romantic and familial emotions.
Centered on romance, family, comedy, and the unexpected twists of married life, the film Pyaar Prema Kaadhal will begin streaming worldwide on Netflix starting August 21.
