To commemorate the 1st Anniversary of CUTTING CHAI, a music band comprising a bunch of passionate music lovers trained both formally and informally, a musical event was held at the Music Academy Mini Hall to a fully packed audience!
The Members of Cutting Chai Musical Band, most of whom were practising professionals, presented a medley of both Kollywood and Bollywood hot numbers which were hit numbers too!
The first Session was dedicated to super songsters as S. P. Balasubramaniam, S. Janaki and Asha Bhonsle and the Band recreated a few of the best of the best melodies from the innumerable songs rendered by the trio!
The event was set to roll with a Vinayaga Vandana, a Sloga dedicated to Lord Vinayaga.
An exclusive Anthem created specially for the Anniversary Celebrations of Cutting Chai was also presented on the occasion, tuned in by the young composer, Anivee with the Lyrics and Video Editing handled by Chitra Mohan Kumar who was one the main pillars behind Cutting Chai Band.

C. Rajasekaran (Music Teacher), S. Swaminathan and
Venkat Shankar.
Time and again, the singers threw challenges at the audience asking for the names of the Ragas from the songs that were sung!
An amalgamation of a few songs from both Bollywood and Kollywood besides the transition from one Raga to another while presenting popular numbers with minor adaptations – the USP of the evening ‘s event!
