It has been around 2.5 years since my last lead film, so Anbil Avan feels like starting all over again — a chance to reinvent and rediscover myself. I never want to do a film just for visibility. If my name is on a poster, I want to give 100% of myself to it.
I’m extremely grateful to my parents. When the film’s financial requirements increased, they even supported me by pledging our house. No one supports a son’s dream like parents do.
@Karti6Kane has been my friend for nearly 10 years. I believed in his creativity and wanted to give him the platform he deserved. I truly believe he has a great journey ahead.
@vigneshraja89, Vicky, Govind Vasantha, Gautam and Selva have all contributed tremendously to this film. Peter Hein Master, thank you for giving this film the same dedication and sincerity you bring to huge-budget projects.
@PreityMukundan, I believed in you even before you became known, and today you already have a dedicated fan base. You have a great career ahead, and if this film does really well, we’ll definitely do Part 2.
I was very particular about the casting. I wanted to discover genuinely talented actors through auditions, and that’s how we found Kathir, Maha and many others.
I’m not going to ask you to make this film a hit or blockbuster. Just come to the theatre and watch it. It’s a mainstream commercial film, it will be entertaining, and I genuinely believe there will be moments that give you a proper theatrical experience.
