The launch event for the film’s songs and trailer took place at Kamala Cinemas in Vadapalani, Chennai.
Attendees remarked that the trailer screened at the event was on par with English films.

Speaking during the welcome address, producer Lion Dr. Vagesh said…

“This project began at a business meeting, which is where I was introduced to the director.

He narrated the story in just half an hour. I have watched countless movies and heard so many stories, but this one felt fresh. I sensed something new and intriguing about it. I gained confidence in the story he told in that short time and decided to go ahead with the film. That is how this project started.

The director is a deeply dedicated individual. I witnessed his hard work during the shoot. Whenever I visited the set, there would be a lot of activity; I would simply let the work proceed as planned. He is a truly dedicated and hardworking person. His efforts deserve immense success.

I have succeeded in various other businesses and have now ventured into cinema. I am confident that I will succeed here as well, as the film itself inspires such confidence. My thanks to everyone who has come here to offer their best wishes.” Speaking on the occasion, Rentech Films producer Rani Sri Reddy said…

“I was previously involved in various other businesses and have only recently entered the film industry.
Director Vijay Anand narrated a story to me and my husband in just half an hour. The very next day, he narrated it again in greater detail, clearly outlining the characters and who would play them.

He mentioned music director Karthik Raja; I said we would consider it, but within ten minutes, he returned with him. When the pooja (inaugural ceremony) was announced, I attended. That journey, which began back then, continues successfully to this day.

The success of my business ventures was largely due to the blessings of my parents and the steadfast support of my husband—a support that continues to this day. The success of this film now lies in the hands of the media; we need your support. I thank everyone who has come here to wish the film crew well.”

Special guest at the event: G.K.M., President of the Tamil Film Producers Council. Speaking on the occasion, Tamilkumaran said…

“Cinema is a dream world. When people set out to make a film, they do so with a dream. These producers are making a film for the very first time.

Producers, directors, actors, and technicians all embark on this journey with big dreams; I, too, started out with such a dream.

Producing a film is a very challenging task. It is heart-wrenching to witness the struggles some producers go through. Cinema is a good profession, but it must be executed correctly. Today, the film ‘Mandadi’ has achieved great success, bringing substantial profits to its producer.

I watched the trailer for ‘Kasthuri Veedu,’ and it looks impressive. I wish the entire film crew great success and take my leave. Thank you.”

Speaking on the occasion, Director Pavithran said…

“I am delighted to participate in this event at Kamala Theatre; its owner was someone who truly loved cinema.

It gives me great pleasure to be part of this function held in this very auditorium. I have known the film’s director, Vijay Anand, for a long time; he is a hard worker. The trailer looks excellent. The visuals suggest that he has crafted a film that will appeal to both families and children.

He has delivered a unique film. I urge you to support and encourage artists who bring something different to the table.

The Tamil Nadu government has agreed to provide significant subsidies to producers of small-budget films. We are hopeful that the government will continue to do a great deal for the film industry.” “I wish this film great success,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Rajakumaran said…

“Many memories come flooding back—from the days when we used to jostle through the crowds just to catch a movie at this Kamala Theatre, to receiving the 225th-day shield for our director’s film Poove Unakkaga, the 125th-day shield for Suriyavamsam, and the 250th-day shield for Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen.

Vijay Anand, the director of Kasthuri Veedu, is a hard worker; he personally visited every home to extend invitations for this event. There is no doubt that Kasthuri Veedu will be a film that commands attention.

Today, Samuthirakani is a favorite among everyone in the film industry…”

I love it so much. Many people have put in a lot of hard work for this film, just like that. I flew in for this event last night right after wrapping up a shoot. Films like this need a face—a representative figure—and that is something everyone desires; someone needs to step forward and take the lead. I have made a film recently, and I am currently looking for a ‘face’ for it. Whoever I find—if they go on to make a film, they too will look for another face.
This cycle of searching for one another is essentially what our journey is all about.

I would like to tell Director Vijay something—and it is the truth: if we work sincerely, magic happens, and we all become a part of that magic. Let us simply believe in that. No one else can come along and single-handedly lift a film to success. Let us do our job—let us give it 100 percent. Let us work with integrity. Our goal is to bring something good to the people.

My mentor used to say, “If you work sincerely, it shows on screen; your hard work stands as a mighty fortress.” A perfect example of this is Suriya’s film Mandela. It was his hard work—along with the immense, tireless effort of the director and the entire technical crew—that became the defining face of the film. That is all it takes: if we put in 100% effort, that is enough.

I pray to the Almighty for this film to achieve massive success. Best wishes! My congratulations to the producers as well. Heartfelt wishes to all the technicians, actors, and actresses who worked on this project. Let us succeed!
