Greetings to my dear friends in the press, media, and social media. I began the film ONE MAN with a grand vision and, despite facing numerous obstacles, managed to complete and release it. Although the film received high praise from journalists and early viewers, it was pulled from theaters before it could reach a wider audience.
Yet, anticipation for the film has continued to grow day by day; people are traveling long distances just to attend special screenings organized by friends.
To make the film easily accessible to everyone who wishes to watch it, I have made it available on YouTube starting Friday, September 11, 2026, at 7 PM. You can watch the film for a fee of ₹119.
Additionally, this fee grants access to “making-of” footage on the same platform, showing exactly how I shot each scene in ONE MAN.
This initiative also serves as an attempt to break down the “iron wall” that often stands between creators and their audience. While many were eager to watch the film, that barrier prevented it from reaching them. I believe that bypassing such obstacles to reach the public directly will set a precedent for future independent films and self-reliant cinematic endeavors.
I have witnessed history where many creations—once rejected by powerful hands—were eventually embraced by the simple, welcoming hands of the people (take the humble onion, for instance).
Although my hope that the government and the film industry would help take ONE MAN—a film completed entirely as a solo effort—to the public did not materialize, I am handing it over to the people with great confidence. I trust that they will take this work by a fellow Tamilian and share it with the world.
