South Indian Film Writers’ Association Meets ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan
Office bearers and members of the South Indian Film Writers’ Association met ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan on Saturday at his Raaj Kamal office in Chennai.
In a statement regarding the meeting, they said, “On behalf of the Writers’ Association, our office bearers and executive committee members were delighted to meet Mr. Kamal Haasanโa pioneer and one of the most significant writers in the film industryโas a mark of respect.
While there are many remarkable writers in cinema, there is no doubt that Mr. Kamal Haasan is a trailblazer who paved the way for the next generation. We had requested an appointment to meet him and seek his insights and guidance.
He graciously accepted the request and met us, sharing many valuable thoughts. In films he createdโsuch as Mahanadhi, Anbe Sivam, Hey Ram, Guna, and Thevar Maganโhis writing stands out for its strength and sharpness; even the briefest dialogue conveys profound meaning.
Mr. Kamal Haasan is the creator of such impactful writing. Meeting him was truly inspiring for us. He set aside time to meet us, offered his best wishes, and encouraged us to run the association effectively. We will cherish the memory of this meeting forever.”
