Greetings to our friends in the media.

We—President Cheran, General Secretary Pattukottai Prabakar, Treasurer R. Sundarrajan, Vice President Snehan, Joint Secretary Bhaskar Sakthi, and Executive Committee Member Naveen—met with ‘Isaignani’ Mr. Ilaiyaraaja, who has penned lyrics for hundreds of films, and Mr. Sarathkumar, who has written stories and dialogues for three films.

Upon our request—expressing that it would be an honor for the association to have them as members—both of them immediately agreed and signed the application forms with great enthusiasm. A pen was presented to each of them on behalf of the Writers’ Association as a token of appreciation.

Our efforts to meet and induct into the South Indian Film Writers’ Association those distinguished individuals who—through their work on stories, screenplays, dialogues, and lyrics—consistently contribute to Tamil cinema and meet the eligibility criteria for membership, will continue.
