‘Violet Kanavu’ is a crime thriller produced through the collaborative efforts of film institute students, featuring a story and screenplay by the celebrated “King of Crime Fiction,” Rajeshkumar. Presented by M4 International, the film is jointly produced by Mrs. A. Musthari (M.Sc.) and Babu Thuyavan (B.Com, D.F.T.) under the banner of Appu Movies, with P. Nithyanandan (B.A., D.F.T.) directing.
Vivanth, who appeared as the second lead in the film Paris Jeyaraj, plays the male lead, while Raina, the heroine of the film Angaaran, plays the female lead. They are joined by a supporting cast that includes Samson, Jagadeesh, Nisha, Yaar Kannan, R. Aravindaraj, Ramnath, and Girish Rao.
Jegan Kalyan composes the music, and Geethakaran (B.V.A.) handles the cinematography. A.M. Saeef (B.V.A.) is the editor, and Sridhar serves as the art director. Bhaskar Raj writes the dialogues. AXN Prakash choreographs the action sequences, while Saval Ram choreographs the dance sequences. Ashok serves as the costume designer, and Prema is the makeup artist. K. Thangaraj handles executive production, while Dharmadurai and Suresh Sugku serve as the PROs. Durai Vinayagamurthy works as the graphic designer. Rajesh Kumar, the ‘King of Crime Fiction,’ has carved a unique niche for himself in the literary world by penning over a thousand crime novels. With many of his works currently being adapted into films and web series, a movie titled Violet Kanavu is now in production, centered around one of his most significant crime thriller novels.
Expectations for the film are high, as the entire crew consists of film school students, promising a crime thriller experience unlike anything previously seen on screen.
Production is proceeding briskly, and the team plans to release the film in theaters this October. Prior to the release, they intend to unveil the first look and trailer in a grand and innovative manner.
