Director A.J. Balakrishnan appeals to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister to restore Kamaraj’s house to its original state!

Commemoration of the 51st death anniversary of ‘Perunthalaivar’ Kamaraj, organized by A.J. Balakrishnan, director of the film Kamaraj!

Book launch event held on the occasion of Kamaraj’s death anniversary: Achievements of Kamaraj’s Golden Era and A Quarter-Century with Kamaraj!

On behalf of the production company behind the film Kamaraj, and led by its director and producer A.J. Balakrishnan, a commemorative event was held at Kamaraj’s residence in T. Nagar to mark the 51st death anniversary of the great leader and symbol of sacrifice, ‘Perunthalaivar’ Kamaraj.

G.K. Vasan, President of the Tamil Maanila Congress, attended the event and released a combined volume containing the books Achievements of Kamaraj’s Golden Era and A Quarter-Century with Kamaraj (authored by Kamaraj’s aide, Mr. C.P.S. Vairavan).

Speaking at the event, Director A.J. Balakrishnan said:

“Today marks the 51st death anniversary of the great leader—a day of sorrow. Another distressing fact is that the house where he lived has been altered; essentially, all traces of his identity have been erased. The original light fixtures from his time were discarded, and the house has been transformed to resemble the opulent bungalow of a Zamindar (landlord). Its interiors have been modified in such a way that future generations, upon seeing this house, might mistakenly believe Kamaraj was a wealthy landlord or Zamindar.” “It must be restored to its original state from the era of the great leader with the help of qualified experts; only such a restoration will truly honor its dignity. Otherwise, future generations could be misled. I state this with a heavy heart; we have already written to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu regarding this matter, but no action has been taken so far. We intend to urge him again on this issue,” said Director A.J. Balakrishnan.

Following the event, a special Annadhanam (offering of free meals) was provided to the public.
