These announcements mark the Silver Jubilee of ISB, which was established in 2001.
Hyderabad/Mohali, October 06, 2026: Ranked first in India and 12th globally in the ‘Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2026’, the Indian School of Business (ISB) is celebrating its 25th anniversary. These initiatives aim to expand access to management education and strengthen India’s research and teaching capabilities. Under the ISB25 Scholars programme, ISB will award 250 scholarships over the coming years for its flagship programmes: the ‘Post Graduate Programme in Management’ (PGP) and the ‘Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders’ (PGP YL). Based on merit and financial need, the programme offers tuition fee waivers of 100%, 50%, 30%, and 25%. This initiative aims to broaden the talent pool at ISB by ensuring that high-potential applicants from diverse economic, geographical, and professional backgrounds can access world-class management education.
Alongside this, ISB is set to establish a national platform known as the ‘ISB India Research Commons.’ This platform will provide researchers across India with access to curated datasets, research tools, methodological resources, and research infrastructure powered by artificial intelligence. This initiative will be linked to a new national faculty development programme, through which ISB will share its teaching approaches, classroom practices, and technology-enabled pedagogical methods with management institutions across the country. In doing so, the expertise and experience the institute has cultivated over the past 25 years will be extended to the broader Indian educational landscape.
“ISB@25 is not just an opportunity to celebrate our journey, but also a chance to define our commitment to the future,” said Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean of the Indian School of Business. “Our pledge is to make exceptional capabilities easily accessible to organizations and scholars across the country, enabling knowledge sharing and the utilization of research outcomes,” he stated.
These new commitments follow a series of initiatives undertaken by ISB in recent years to address the evolving needs of both learners and the industry. In 2025, the ‘Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders’ (PGP YL) was launched, admitting an inaugural cohort of 130 students; more than a third of them received tuition waivers. That same year, ISB introduced ‘ISB Discover,’ a digital knowledge platform that presents faculty research in formats easily understood by policymakers, business leaders, and the general public. Furthermore, ISB has recently conducted a comprehensive review of its flagship PGP curriculum to align with the changing work environment, incorporating greater flexibility, personalized learning pathways, and robust integration. This move was based on extensive consultations with alumni, recruiters, and industry professionals.
Since its inception in 2001, ISB has grown into one of the world’s leading business schools, boasting an alumni network of over 20,000 individuals across more than 65 countries. The institute’s PGP currently ranks first in India and second in Asia. Furthermore, according to the FT Global MBA Ranking 2026, ISB graduates have secured the top global position for salary growth—comparing pre- and post-program earnings. With campuses in Hyderabad and Mohali and holding the ‘triple crown’ of accreditations (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS), ISB has established an outstanding track record of producing leaders capable of addressing complex business and societal challenges.
Through the ISB@25 event, the institution reaffirms its founding vision: to transform 25 years of institutional excellence into enduring public assets that expand opportunities across India, strengthen research, and foster excellence in management education.
