Press Meet for the Film ‘Black Gold’!!
Based on true events, ‘Black Gold’ is set to hit theaters on November 13th!
Produced by M. Moorthy under the banner of M.M. Studios and directed by Dheeran Arunkumar, ‘Black Gold’ features actor Vetri in the lead role. The film also stars Livingston, Priyalaya, Thulasi, Bigg Boss Abirami, A. Venkatesh, and several others in key roles.
The story revolves around a vast, clandestine business—unknown to the public—and how it impacts a young man from a middle-class family. The fact that the film is based on true events has garnered significant attention.
With the film’s theatrical release scheduled for November 13th, the cast and crew held a press meet to discuss the making of the movie, its plot, the contributions of the actors, and their experiences during the filming process.
At this event…
Producer M. Moorthy spoke as follows:
“I initially entered the film industry with the aspiration of becoming an actor. Today, I stand before you as a producer. When director Dheeran Arun Kumar narrated this story to me, I found the premise to be highly innovative. Although he had pitched the story to a few other producers, the process took too long, so I decided to produce the film myself. I extended my full support to bring this project to life.
I did have some reservations about whether such an unconventional story would be well-received by the audience. However, when I shared the plot with my wife and daughter, they encouraged me, noting that it was a unique endeavor—a story that addresses events happening all around us. The contribution of the lead actor, Vetri, was pivotal in the making of this film. The rest of the cast and the technical crew also worked with immense dedication, day and night.
Having watched thousands of films in my lifetime, I can confidently say that ‘Black Gold’ will stand out as an innovative film in Indian cinema. The production quality has turned out exceptionally well. Rather than categorizing a film as ‘small’ or ‘big,’ what truly matters is whether it is a ‘good’ film. Director A. Venkatesh and the entire cast have delivered outstanding performances in their respective roles.
This film will undoubtedly offer a fresh experience to the audience. I request all my friends in the media, the press, and on YouTube channels to extend their support to this film and help bring news about it to the public. Thank you, everyone.” Music director Gavaskar Avinash stated:
“On behalf of the ‘Black Gold’ team, I would like to express my gratitude to all our friends from the media, the press, and various YouTube channels. This is my second film with actor Vettri; he has worked on numerous projects over the past three years, and ‘Black Gold’ will prove to be a major turning point in his career. I have long been an admirer of actress Abirami’s work, and she has delivered an exceptional performance as a bold police officer in this film.
The characters portrayed by director A. Venkatesh, Japan Kumar, and others are also noteworthy. In particular, Japan Kumar—whom audiences are accustomed to seeing in comedic roles—appears here in a completely different, intense character. Every actor has delivered a natural performance, and I believe this film will shift how directors perceive them moving forward.
Working with lyricist Mohan Raja was a delightful experience; his lyrics for the song ‘Vengattu Bhoomi’ required no revisions—I truly loved his writing. My thanks go to all the singers—Saindhavi, Sathya Kapoor, Sathya Prakash, and Sanjana Kalmanji. Saindhavi, in particular, deserves special mention for stepping outside her usual style to sing in a higher register for this film.
This project would not have been possible without the support of producer Moorthy sir, who chose a compelling story. Director Dheeran Arunkumar reached out to me after seeing my work on ‘Smile Man’ and offered me the opportunity to compose the music for this film. Even though other prominent music directors were suggested, he placed his trust in me, believing I was the right fit for the story and its setting—for that, I am truly grateful. I look forward to collaborating with Vettri and the rest of the team on many more projects.” Thank you. Cinematographer Santhosh Kumar Veerasamy said,
“‘Black Gold’ is my debut film. I extend my heartfelt thanks to director Dheeran Arunkumar and producer Moorthy for giving me the opportunity to work on this project. I also thank all the actors and the entire technical crew who worked on this film. I look forward to seeing everyone again here very soon at the film’s success meet. Thank you.”
Editor Dinesh Kumar said,
“From the inception of a story to the final release of a film, a great deal of hard work from many people goes into it. In that regard…”
“I am happy and satisfied with my contribution to the film ‘Black Gold.’ I thank director Dheeran Arunkumar for the opportunity to work on this project. He gave me complete creative freedom in the editing process; I would first edit a scene in my own style, and then we would discuss what, if any, changes were needed. He extended this same level of freedom to the cinematographer and the music director as well.
There was a great sense of understanding and coordination among the director, cinematographer, music director, and the assistant directors. Our sole focus was on delivering a quality film and exploring how we could make it even better. The producer, Moorthy sir, also provided us with unwavering support. Rather than dwelling on budget or other constraints, he would simply ask, ‘Will the film turn out well? Are you satisfied with it?’ That kind of support truly helped elevate the quality of the film.
I would like to extend a special thanks to Durai-bro for the opportunity to work on this film and for introducing me to the team. Furthermore, the media and the press play a crucial role in ensuring that a good film reaches a wider audience; your support and coverage are what help bring quality cinema to the viewers.
We have not revealed any details regarding the story or the scenes of ‘Black Gold’ in advance. We want the audience to experience the surprises firsthand in the theater. I am confident that when you walk out after watching the film, you will leave with the satisfaction of having seen a truly good movie. I wish the film great success. Thank you.”
Singer Ram said,
“I extend my greetings to all the journalists, media personnel, and friends gathered here. I have been active in the entertainment industry for the past 16 years.” I also run a music training school, where about 20 students are currently learning. Additionally, I have been active in the independent music scene for the past 16 years.
I have known director Dheeran Arunkumar for the last four years; we first met when I performed a musical set at the Edison Awards. We have shared a good friendship ever since, and he has consistently followed my musical journey and endeavors.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to director Dheeran Arunkumar and producer Moorthy for giving me this opportunity in the film Black Gold, which has helped turn my 16-year-old dream into reality. I am overjoyed that this long-cherished dream of mine has finally come true. Thank you all, and greetings.”
Lyricist Mohan Rajan said,
“When director Dheeran Arunkumar narrated the story of this film, I was immediately drawn to it. The title Black Gold might lead one to think of pepper or coal, but the film actually revolves around a unique subject: human hair. It explores various aspects, including the business and politics surrounding hair. It was surprising to learn that there is such a vast scientific and commercial background behind something as seemingly ordinary as human hair—a subject I had previously overlooked. This film prompted me to read and research more about it.
I have written two songs for this film. Working with music director Kavaskar Avinash was a delightful experience. I had to carefully craft the lyrics to fit the melodies he composed. In particular, I am very fond of the lines: ‘I shall seek the blessing you bestow each day, and hold you close, woven deep within my heart.’” Similarly, the song ‘Vengattu Bhoomiyile’ is crafted in a way that tells a story.
I found great satisfaction in writing lines for this song such as, “In this barren land, a dusty wind blows, while a deep, scorching sorrow surges through the heart,” and “The moisture that sustains the earth does not dry away easily; the love that dwells within the heart does not falter, even in pain.” Furthermore, the lines, “In this treacherous place, suspicion never wanes; why is it that the answer to this unspoken riddle remains unknown?” align perfectly with the film’s mysterious premise.
Centered around the theme of human hair, this film is sure to offer the audience a major surprise, along with many unexpected twists. I truly hope this becomes a successful film for actor Vettri. My best wishes go out to director Dheeran Arunkumar, music composer Kavaskar Avinash, and the entire film crew. It has been a pleasure working on this project. Thank you.”
J.R. Ramesh spoke as follows:
“First, I would like to extend my greetings to all the friends from the media and the press. I have known director Dheeran Arunkumar for the past five years. We would meet occasionally and discuss what his next project might be.
My primary profession is working as a distributor for the daily newspaper Dinamalar, and I am also involved in film distribution. When Dheeran mentioned that he was planning to make a film, I was very curious to know what kind of story he intended to tell.
I would frequently visit his office…”
“Given the current situation, I am happy to have been able to participate in the distribution efforts for this film. I would like to express my gratitude to the director and the producer for giving me the opportunity to work on ‘Black Gold.’ Thank you.”
Distributor Adhava spoke as follows:
“I extend my greetings to all the friends from the press and media present here. I thank producer Moorthy sir for granting us the distribution rights for ‘Black Gold.’ My friend, director Dheeran Arunkumar, has already tasted success in the past. I request all our friends in the media to extend their support to ensure this film also becomes a success.
A line from the recently released film ‘Mandadi’ comes to mind—it suggests that since our ancestors lived in reliance upon the wind and the sea, these elements would never forsake us. Similarly, Dheeran Arunkumar breathes cinema; it is his very lifeblood. Therefore, I trust that the film industry and the media will not let him down. I wish him many more successful films in the future.
I must also mention producer Moorthy sir. While the name ‘Moorthy’ was referenced in the film ‘Jailer 2,’ in the context of this project, our ‘Moorthy-annan’ (elder brother Moorthy) is the driving force behind everything. We are proud to be working with him. I urge everyone to support ‘Black Gold’ and help make it a success. Thank you.”
Ibrahim spoke as follows:
“Greetings to everyone present here. When I was in Chennai for business, Ramesh sir met me and mentioned that director Dheeran Arunkumar—a friend of his—had directed a good film, and he invited me to watch it.” At that time, I couldn’t watch it due to a lack of time. Later, the director sent me his debut film, Theerppugal Virkapadum (Judgments for Sale). Watching that film—which starred Sathyaraj—I found every single scene truly enjoyable.
I am 60 years old now. Back when I was 21, I left my hometown for Chennai, driven by a dream to act in films. However, I faced immense hardships and struggled to even break into the industry. There were times when I didn’t have a single rupee in my pocket—not even enough to afford a bus fare. After failing to secure any opportunities, I returned to my hometown about 20 years later. Yet, I never once abandoned my ambition to achieve something in cinema.
Now, I have returned to the film industry. Having built up the necessary qualifications and experience, I plan to produce films in collaboration with director Dheeran Arun Kumar. I have also acquired the distribution rights for the film Black Gold. I will certainly produce films of my own.
I have full faith that cinema will sustain me.
There are many others like me—people who dreamed of succeeding in cinema but were forced to return home due to various hardships. They, too, deserve another chance. The power to bring a film to the audience and help it succeed lies in the hands of journalists and our friends in the media. I ask for your support for the efforts of people like me. Thank you.
Janeesh said:
“Producer Moorthy sir is a man of great integrity and is very forthright. I got to know him while the film was midway through production. He remained committed and supportive throughout the entire journey, right up until the film’s release. I am happy to share that I have also contributed to this film.” The director, the executive producer, and the entire office team worked with great energy and dedication. Although many of the technical crew members are in the early stages of their careers, everyone has put in their absolute best effort. It is evident from the film that the director has invested immense care and hard work into every single aspect. I wish for this film to propel both the director and the entire technical team toward the next level in their careers.
It is heartening to see that everyone—from experienced artists like A. Venkatesh and Livingston to Vetri—has taken the time to participate in the film’s promotional events. This movie will offer audiences a fantastic theatrical experience; beyond conveying a message, it is sure to be a complete, entertaining film.
I am delighted that ‘Black Gold,’ which is set to hit theaters soon, is receiving a positive response—not just from exhibitors, but from other commercial sectors as well. I request our friends in the media to continue their support for the film’s success. Thank you, everyone.”
Actor Japan Kumar remarked:
“Director Dheeran Arunkumar reached out to me to play a small role in this film. I mentioned to him that, until now, I have only played minor comedic roles. However, he expressed full confidence that I would be a great fit for this particular character.”
I agreed to act in this film solely because of his [the producer’s] conviction.
More than how the film has turned out, it brings me great joy to hear those who have watched it say that it is good. However, the success of this film lies in your hands. It is the media and the fans who must continue to support such producers and directors.
Nowadays, even when small-scale films are good, few fans come to the theaters to watch them. Sometimes, despite being quality films, they are pulled from theaters very quickly. Therefore, I urge everyone to support ‘Black Gold’ and make it a success. Thank you all.”
Actor Karate Venkatesh said,
“I would like to express my gratitude and best wishes to everyone on this team—the senior artists, the younger actors, and the technical crew. When director Dheeran Arunkumar first narrated the story to me, he offered me a unique role. He specifically mentioned that a character who takes lives would suit me well.
Since the film ‘Pariyerum Perumal,’ I have once again had the opportunity to play such a role. I am always ready to do whatever the director asks of me. In this film, too, I have taken a few lives—I hope the audience enjoys watching that on screen. Please support ‘Black Gold’ and help make it a success. Thank you.”
Actor Telephone Raj said,
“I approached this film just as I would any other project I’ve worked on. However, the character I was given here is quite distinct. Even though it is a small role, it carries a significant purpose.” “I really appreciated how director Dheeran Arunkumar explained the scenes to me with great patience—much like someone teaching a child.
During both the filming and the dubbing process, I was amazed by the characters. Each actor was perfectly cast for their respective role; some of the characters’ appearances were so striking that they even felt a bit intimidating! That’s how distinct and well-crafted each character’s look and persona turned out to be.
Actor Vetri has a very gentle, ‘chocolate-boy’ charm. His films have been consistently successful, and I am confident that ‘Black Gold’ will follow that same path. The producer, Moorthy, is a wonderful person, and he ensured I was compensated well. I wish everyone who worked on this film the very best. I also request all our friends in the media to extend their support to the film. Thank you.”
Actress Sabitha Roy said:
“Good evening to everyone from the film fraternity, as well as all the journalists and friends from the media present here. I have loved cinema for many years and have been striving for a good opportunity—in that sense, ‘Black Gold’ has served as a significant platform for me. I play the character ‘Malli’ in this film, and I truly hope that this role will bring me great recognition. My heartfelt thanks to director Dheeran Arunkumar for giving me this opportunity.
Director Dheeran Arunkumar is an excellent captain. No matter how hectic the situation, he remains incredibly calm and patient. He always ensures that everyone on set feels at ease and happy. I am confident that this film, under his direction, will be a massive success for him. Cinematographer Santhosh Kumar Veerasamy has also done an outstanding job.” I am confident that he will emerge as a significant cinematographer in Tamil cinema.
On set, actor Vetri is very simple and quiet; however, when he steps in front of the camera, his performance and heroism are truly astonishing. It has long been my wish to act alongside A. Venkatesh, and I am delighted that this film provided that opportunity. I have also formed a great friendship with Arul Shankar, who plays the character ‘Naina’—a role closely linked to my own. Having a supportive producer like Moorthy is a true blessing for Tamil cinema. My thanks go to the entire technical team, including music director Kavaskar Avinash and lyricist Mohan Raja.
Let us move away from categorizing films as ‘small’ or ‘big.’ Today, it is often the smaller films that are achieving great success and setting new milestones. With a strong story and hard work, any film can attain major success. I believe ‘Black Gold’ will also become a film that audiences will love. The movie is set to release in theaters on November 13th; I request everyone’s support to make it a success. Thank you.”
Director and actor A. Venkatesh remarked:
“To all the friends from the press and media who have gathered here…”
Good evening to everyone. First, I would like to thank Adhava Ramesh for releasing this film.
‘Black Gold’ is entirely the creation of director Dheeran Arunkumar. One day, while reading a newspaper, I came across a story about human hair and thought it could be the basis for a film. A while later, when Dheeran narrated the story for this project, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was built around the very same subject I had read about. He has approached a topic—one never before explored in Tamil cinema—in a truly innovative way. The title ‘Black Gold’ also fits the narrative perfectly.
The success of any film hinges on the right casting. In this regard, Dheeran has chosen the perfect actors for every role. The casting of Arul D. Shankar, in particular, is excellent. Abirami, Sabitha Rai, Japan Kumar, and the rest of the cast have all done full justice to their respective characters. The lead actor, Vetri, is a very quiet person, yet his performance in front of the camera is truly remarkable. In the scenes we shared, he delivered a brilliant performance using only the subtlest of reactions. Cinematographer Santhosh Kumar Veerasamy has done a fantastic job, striking a perfect balance between the production’s requirements and the director’s vision. Editor Dinesh Kumar’s work is also commendable. Music director Kavaskar Avinash has made a significant contribution through his score and songs, and the lyrics by Mohan Raja are equally noteworthy.
I would like to thank the producer, Moorthy, as well as his wife and daughter, whose encouragement was instrumental in the making of this film; their support played a vital role in bringing this project to life. I have witnessed firsthand the immense hard work that director Dheeran has poured into this film from the very beginning until today. Although this is his second film, he has worked with the same level of immense dedication as he did on his first. The efforts he has put into every stage of the film’s production are truly commendable.
I have not yet seen the entire film; I have only viewed the scenes I appear in. Nevertheless, I have great confidence in the story. With the grace of God, the support of nature, and the backing of our friends in the media and all the fans, I hope that the film ‘Black Gold’ reaches a wide audience. Thank you, everyone.” Actor Arul D. Shankar spoke as follows:
“In my 16-year journey in cinema, I have portrayed a wide variety of characters. However, the film ‘Black Gold’ holds a special significance for me. I had told director Dheeran that I was open to any kind of role, provided there were no ‘duet’ songs. True to this, he crafted the character of ‘Naina Raja.’ I have never before asked the media to write about my work, but for the first time, I am requesting that if you find my performance in this film to be good, please do write about it.
Producer Moorthy is an excellent producer; he possesses both meticulous planning skills and a genuine artistic sensibility toward cinema. It is truly commendable how he transitioned from being an actor to producing this film. My co-stars—Sheebanu, Sabitha Roy, A. Venkatesh, Vetri, Telephone Raj, and Japan Kumar—have all delivered outstanding performances. Vetri, in particular, is a very calm and honest individual; he never oversteps the boundaries of his character, remaining clearly focused on his primary task: executing the director’s vision. Working alongside A. Venkatesh and the rest of the cast was a delightful experience. The song ‘Vengattu,’ composed by Gavaskar Avinash, is deeply touching.
Landing the role of ‘Naina Raja’ was an intriguing experience in itself. I was introduced to director Dheeran through Madhangi. After watching his previous work, he reached out to me six months later to narrate the story. He had meticulously planned every detail of the character—from his overall appearance and the sindoor (vermilion) on his forehead to the ornaments he wears. Makeup artist Umasankar and I worked extensively to perfect this look. Furthermore, I underwent seven days of rigorous training under stunt master Metro Mahesh for the action sequences.” I gained a lot. Having the director and his assistants present during rehearsals to offer encouragement was an unforgettable experience.
I really like director Dheeran’s writing. He has crafted the dialogues in such a natural and relatable way that there was no need to memorize them at all. The pre-production planning was also excellent; the fact that many scenes were shot within a limited number of call-sheets is a testament to his meticulous planning. Despite certain constraints, the entire crew put in a tremendous amount of hard work. I am confident that my character has turned out very well. I truly believe that in the next five years, director Dheeran will be among the top three directors in Tamil cinema. As for this film…
I request the media to extend their support to my performance. Thank you.
Executive Producer Kalai spoke as follows:
Producer Moorthy sir pitched this story to several production houses, but given its unique premise, no one came forward to produce it. That was when director Dheeran Arunkumar approached us with the script. Liking the story, Moorthy sir consulted with his wife and daughter before deciding to produce the film. As a result, the film ‘Black Gold’ stands before you today. You will understand the meaning behind the title once you watch the movie.
Actor Vetri would always arrive on set well ahead of time, fully prepared. The entire cast—including A. Venkatesh, Karate Venkatesh, Sripa, Krishti, Arul D. Shankar, and Viyazhakaran—delivered excellent performances. Music director Kavaskar Avinash has composed three wonderful songs. Cinematographer Santhosh Kumar, despite this being his debut film, has made a remarkable contribution. Editor Dinesh and the director worked with great dedication. I would also like to express our gratitude to all the technical crew, including stunt master Metro Mahesh and choreographer Rich Samson.
Actor and producer Moorthy sir is a man of a consistently positive outlook. He provided everything the director requested and offered his full support throughout the film’s production. Director Dheeran Arunkumar wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogues, and also directed the film. Even when post-production work was taking place simultaneously at three different locations, he would travel between them on his motorcycle to personally oversee the work with the technical team—that is how hard he has worked. On behalf of the production house, I would like to express my gratitude to him as well.
My thanks to all the actors, technicians, and friends from the media who worked on this film. Let us meet again at the success celebration of this movie. Thank you, and goodbye.
Actress Abirami spoke as follows:
Playing the role of a police officer is a highly challenging task. I am grateful to everyone who praised my performance, saying that I portrayed the character beautifully and effectively. When I received the offer for this film, knowing that Vetri was part of the cast gave me the confidence that the story would surely be excellent. Director Dheeran explained the narrative with great clarity and a unique approach—he presented the story as precisely and methodically as a science teacher conducting a lesson.
In the past, there have been instances where roles I expected to secure slipped away at the last moment. Because of this, I asked the director multiple times if my role in this film was truly confirmed. He, however, remained completely confident in me. The fact that both the producer and the director were firm in their decision that I—and only I—should play this character brought me immense joy and confidence as an actress. I extend my heartfelt thanks to both of them.
It is the media that has consistently brought my journey and the opportunities I’ve received to the public’s attention. You have always encouraged me by asking about my next project or why I hadn’t appeared in any new films—thank you all for that. I hope for your continued support and cooperation when the film ‘Black Gold’ is released. I truly believe that it is through your support that artists like us can continue to grow.
Director Dheeran Arunkumar spoke as follows:
Meeting you all in this same venue after nearly five years feels just like being reunited with a long-lost child. I first met you at the audio launch of my debut film, Theerppugal Virkapadum. Now, I stand before you again with my second film, Black Gold. After my first film, while I was working on my next project, I pitched a story for a big-budget Telugu film. Despite progressing through several stages, that project could not take off. Consequently, I returned to Tamil cinema, determined to create a film based on an innovative story. I pitched the concept to many producers, but none were bold enough to come forward. I felt that, much like in Malayalam cinema, there should be a greater openness toward unique and unconventional stories in Tamil cinema as well. It was in this context that Black Gold took shape.
The reason I chose Vetri for this film is that I believed he would be the perfect lead—someone capable of working within a modest budget and a tight shooting schedule, while also fitting the character’s requirements perfectly. When I narrated the story to him, he accepted it with great enthusiasm and suggested we begin production immediately. The film’s female lead, Abirami, could not attend today’s event due to health issues; she plays a police officer and appears in a distinct, unique look. Arul D. Shankar spent eight to nine days training for a complex, stylized action sequence involving a coiled weapon (surul).
We provided training [for the action sequences]. He worked extremely hard, even for a scene that lasts only about a minute and a half in the final film. I would like to thank stunt master “Metro” Mahesh for his efforts. It was a pleasure working with an experienced artist like A. Venkatesh, who was both incredibly friendly and dedicated. Other cast members—including Sabitha Roy, Karate Venkatesh, and Japan Kumar—also contributed perfectly to their respective roles. Japan Kumar, in particular, had a non-verbal role; conveying emotions without dialogue is no easy task, yet he pulled it off brilliantly.
The contributions of the cinematographer, editor, and music director are crucial in determining the quality of a film. Cinematographer Santhosh Kumar has done an excellent job, especially considering this is his debut film. My strong rapport with editor Dinesh allowed us to complete the project effectively. Music director Kavaskar Avinash has also significantly strengthened the film. I also introduced my long-time friend, Ram, through this project—it was the perfect time to do so. We take great joy in placing our trust in new talent and providing them with opportunities. Those who have seen the film have shared positive feedback, but the final verdict will come from the audience and the media when the film releases on November 13th. I do not believe in categorizing films as “small” or “big”; it is the content of the story that defines a film’s true value. Tamil audiences have always supported films with strong content, and I hope they will extend that same support to us.
The greatest strength of this film is its producer, Moorthy Sir. From the very beginning until today, he has journeyed with me—not merely as a producer, but as a passionate cinema enthusiast. He would take a keen interest in every aspect of the film—from the scenes to the dialogues. Even if he left the set as late as five in the morning, he would still check in to ask how the day’s shoot went and whether the scenes had turned out well. Tamil cinema is in great need of producers who possess such a genuine passion for the craft. Many excellent stories remain unfilmed simply due to a lack of funding; in such a climate, having someone like Moorthy Sir as a producer is a tremendous blessing. It is more important to me that he succeeds than that I succeed myself—because if he prospers, he will be able to provide opportunities to many other new directors like me. We faced numerous obstacles from the very beginning of this project. Many claimed that the film would stall midway, fail to progress, or never find a commercial buyer. Yet, we overcame every hurdle to complete it. Now, the commercial side is settled, and we are fully prepared for a theatrical release.
When we began this project, we held a small pooja at the Ganesha temple located within these very premises. At that time, many predicted that the film would never be completed. Today, having overcome all those barriers, we stand before you. We are now set to begin the next phase of our promotional campaign. Each member of our team has poured their heart and soul into this project—much like building a structure, brick by brick. Ultimately, it is your support that will determine its success. I am eager for you to watch ‘Black Gold’—releasing on November 13th—and to see if my hard work and the collective effort of our team resonate with you. I look forward to meeting you all again at our success celebration. Thank you.
Actor Vetri remarked:
“‘Black Gold’ is a highly significant film in my cinematic journey. Many might assume that ‘Black Gold’ refers to crude oil or perhaps black pepper.” However, this film focuses on human hair—specifically, the massive, daily trade surrounding it and the complex network that drives this industry. Against this backdrop, director Dheeran has woven a family story, centered on the emotional bond between a father and his son.
I was immediately drawn to the story the first time I heard it. It offers a unique premise while placing a strong emphasis on human emotions. I would like to extend my gratitude and best wishes to the entire technical crew, my fellow actors, the directorial team, and the producer, Moorthy.
The film ‘Black Gold’ is set to release in theaters on November 13th. I invite everyone to watch the film and share your thoughts. I hope that the media and the audience will extend the same support to this film as they always have. Thank you.
The film features cinematography by Santhosh Kumar Veerasamy and music by Gavaskar Avinash. The production team has officially announced that the film will hit theaters on November 13th.
