‘Veguli’, starring lyricist Priyan, to release in theaters on November 20!
Director Isaq, who set a Guinness World Record by creating the film ‘Agadam’ in a single continuous shot—and who also directed ‘Nagesh Thiraiyarangam’ starring ‘Bigg Boss’ fame Aari—has now directed ‘Veguli’, featuring lyricist Priyan (known for penning over 500 songs, including ‘Maskara’ and ‘Makkayala’). The film is set to hit theaters on November 20.
The team behind ‘Veguli’, a thriller, has officially announced the release date alongside a striking new poster.
The film is produced by Tamil Thiraikoodam—the same banner that produced ‘Aranam’, which also starred lyricist Priyan—in association with Vijaya Sharavanan of Vedha Films. Isaq has written and directed the project.
The cast includes Divya Chandran, Boys Manikandan, Sharmila, Poovaiyar, Danny, Chaplin Balu, Imman Annachi, Erode Saravanan, and Cheranraj, among others.
Nagarjun has handled the cinematography, while the music is composed by Shameel, a recipient of a National Award in Sri Lanka. Devaraj has overseen the film editing, and Natraj has served as the art director.
The story of ‘Veguli’ is based on a brutal incident that recently shook the entire nation. The film features an innovative screenplay designed to keep the audience guessing, making the plot difficult to predict. The Censor Board members, after viewing the film, expressed their appreciation; the movie was granted an ‘A’ certificate with only 13 seconds of footage trimmed.
The fact that ‘Boys’ Manikandan plays a villainous role for the first time has heightened anticipation for the film. Chaplin Balu makes a return after a long hiatus, playing a pivotal character, while Imman Annachi portrays a Muslim character for the first time. Poovaiyar plays a role that serves as a turning point in the story, and Danny appears as a character caught in a difficult situation involving the police.
The recently released songs and teaser have been well-received by the audience. Furthermore, several prominent figures from the film industry have praised the movie after watching it.
Director Isaac, who crafted the film with a unique premise, screenplay, and dialogues, has expressed confidence that ‘Veguli’ will satisfy the audience and prove to be a success.
Generating significant expectations, ‘Veguli’ is set to hit theaters on November 20th.
