While a small timer catapulted into a screen star on the one side, this Friday, here is another such individual who rises to stardom in politics while encountering several challenges enroute!
Ameer plays Pandian, an ardent fan of MGR who resorts to the use of theatrics and pulls all kinds of stunts to make it big on the political arena!
Ameer is good but at places it appears exaggerated yet watchable.
The music of veteran Vidyasagar is a value addition.
Devaraj’ s cinematography warrants mention.
Chandini Sreedharan fills the heroine slot in the most conventional manner.
One line of thought – Late matinee idol MGR was unique in his own ways. None can follow his footsteps to attain glory, either in filmdom or in political circles!
He be left alone in charisma and charm is the best homage to that departed soul who attained super stardom in both his chosen fields!
That said, Adham Bava needs to be complimented for having taken up such a theme on politics which could have created a bigger impact had the release been scheduled prior to the elections…
