Blue Sunshine is the first Tamil film directed and acted by transgender Samyukta Vijayan. The xforia Igene company is releasing this film on 4th October in Tamil Nadu. The highlight of the film is that it is the first film in Tamil cinema to feature a transgender director named Samyukta Vijayan.
Not only that, it has participated in IFFI-23 and many other international film festivals, and it has become a film that has been praised not only by world cinema fans but also by everyone who loves good cinema.
“Not only about a man wanting to become a woman, but how does our society view them? I wanted to show how they overcome it and achieve without any drama,” says transgender Samyukta Vijayan.
Samyukta Vijayan, Geetha Kailasam, Gajaraj and Mashant have acted in the film. Steve Benjamin has handled the three responsibilities of music, cinematography and editing brilliantly.
