Years earlier, when Kaun Banega Crorepathi was on air, there was an occasion when an enthusiastic youth, after having amassed enough and more, opted to quit instead of doubling despite the fact that the celebrity host, Big B, motivated him to move on!
But then, the boy had made his decision and hence walked out of the game, that too, with full honors!
The endline of that incident was, one should know when to quit in a life-game of dice while taking calculated risks!
This is the premise of this well made entertainer that takes the audience on a jolly ride deliberating on the risks taken by a commoner hailing from a middle class family where earnings never ever meet the flow of expenses!
Set a few decades earlier, the tale is set around Baskhar (a swashbuckling Dulquer Salman!) who is employed as a cashier in a private bank.
He is happily married (Meenakshi Chaudhary is adequate) and they have a son.
To meet his financial setbacks, Baskhar accepts an offer to loan out some money to a businessman in distress by borrowing money from the cash rack contemplating, replacing the same soon, soon after the businessman returns it, of course with a profit margin for Baskhar!
The game continues while Baskhar plays his cards correctly.
The Bank Management plays its cards differently in which Baskhar becomes the bait as the CBI steps in!
How Baskhar tides over the situstion and manages to keep clear of the Law is the rest.
Will a bank cashier lie so low on finance is a question but then that’s how the filmmaker has designed the screenplay.
Insults apart, the protagonist never ever gets caught and always manages to be one step ahead – a bit too hard to accept! The Law of averages doesn’t seem to have a role here, at all, one should assume!
In all, a watch worthy film that subtly touches upon the share market scams too!
